Servicing Funn Soljam Pedals Non Sealed

I bet the second washer is actually a nut. Most unsealed pedals have a two nuts. The inner nut sets the preload on the bearings, (it's actually the inner bearing race, not a nut, but it screws on the axle like a nut). The second nut (the one you already got off) binds the first in place. The...

    Phish at Fenway

They do put on a good show. Had the privilege of seeing them in a small club setting a couple times way back. Not sure I'd want to see them now though.

    Paging Parent Monkeys...

Mine's 2.5 years old. Still naps from 1pm to 3pm sometimes longer, sometimes less. Acts like a real ass if he doesn't get a nap. Sleeps around 10 hr / night.

    Wisp Resort GES #2

No, but check Swallow Falls State park or Deep Creek Lake state Park. Campsites are nice and the price is reasonable.

Trying to do a 180*... Cant commit!!!

Okay, I can stick'em pretty much every time sooth as butter, but I have come to the inglorious conclusion that I suck at riding fakie. I get one maybe two backwards pedal strokes in and loose my balance. Any suggestions there? My break through was this: I kept trying to force it with my leg and...

bailing out pits with bilge pump

Are you running a prefilter to sift out sand and gravel before you ingest it into the pump? Sounds like you sucked up something nasty. You should be able to concoct some sort of filter out of chicken wire and foam filter material on the cheap. Look for the foam at a lawn and garden shop that...

Jobs in the downhill/mountain bike world.

My vote is for major in Mechanical Engineering, minor in international business, and look into Asian languages for electives. Good luck.

    Safe to ride this tire?

Jim, I think stan's is water-based. I'm guessing that duct tape would not stick long submerged in water. I would suggest using some good rubber cement and chunk of old tube as a patch / boot.

What to do in Baltimore on a Monday?

If you can get to the Inner harbor, there is a water taxi that will take you all over the place for $8 per person. It's an all day pass, so you can go to the inner harbor and drink, go to fort McHenry look at cannon balls, and then go to Fells Point and drink some more. Best deal in town and...

    Chainstay length calculator

Sweet. I just sat down with a piece of paper, sketched it out, and used a little 7th grade geometry to figure it out. Glad it works in real life. If I was savvy I'd make a little gui for it with VB, but I'm lazy. Maybe another day. Edit: I know it's tedious, but did you happen to count the...
