I like the levers that came with my Codes, I just wanted the Dangerboy ones. I really like the new blingy levers that I have. I didn't need them, I wanted them. Yep, waste of money. However, $49.00 isn't a big deal. That won't even get me a 1/2 tank of gas in my truck! Besides, the levers feel...
I say get it.... see if you want to really do this sport. My first DH bike was an Iron Horse SGS. It helped me really fall in LOVE with DH/FR. You can always get another bike. My SGS was good but my Santa Cruz Bullit is da poo.
Great read, good review...nice to see a post with a lot of info to back up opinions. I'll continue to rip my Bullit around, I have no use for another bike right now. When and if the time comes I may get a Foes Fly. Right now I am just enjoying my Bullit.
GREAT advise... it cracks me up how people will pay $400.00 for cranks but skimp on a helmet. What is your HEAD worth? $60.00 or just less that $100.00? C'mon people! Just buy the BEST helmet you can...The LAST thing I would skimp on is a helmet. I'd rather have a lame bike and a great helmet...
Back to the Dorado....I don't get why people bag on the inverted forks, I really think they are fantastic! Flex? It's the same debate as brake jack! (whoops, did I corrupt this thread again?) J/K
I've heard nothing bad about those forks... I know they are going for super cheap now too! What didja pick 'em up for? I have a pair of '05 Shivers, I love 'em. The Dorado's were going for over $1500.00 just a little under a year ago. My shivers cost a grand.
BTW, I have a FANTASTIC wheelset...
Who pissed in your Wheaties? Get over yourself, who put you in charge of all the new threads? Nice way to welcome someone with a pretty valid question.
Now, to address the question in this thread. I like the B-27's myself, seem to work just great for me! I always say, if it works, don't...
