Congrats. I got married six months ago today. I can't believe how fast time has flown by. For some unknown reason, she feels I'm the best she could do.
My truck has been more than capable off road as well. Even more so, since I installed some sway bar quick disconnects, and a 2" lift. The G80 locker has worked very well on the trail.
I've always liked my friend's Toyota's, just not enough to pay the premium that they did. The extra money could...
This issue should be fixed now. For some reason, GM gave out the wrong alignment specs, which would cause the issues you had. It took them until mid - late 2006 to release the updated specs. Why it took so long to get the update out there, I couldn't tell you.
It's not done by a dealer. Some people just do it as a side project. The software used for my tune is called by HP Tuners. Search the Colorado forums to see if there's one in your area. In my opinion, it's the best money I spent. Reliability for the Colorado / Canyon is pretty good overall...
The solenoid was $50, and literally took less than a minute to install with a single 10mm bolt. The tune was $200. I would say that's pretty good. Was the tune necessary? No. But it sure is nice having a truck that can carry more stuff and get better fuel economy than my Jetta.
I absolutely love my '06 Colorado. I have a 4WD crew cab Z71 with the 3.5 liter I5. In the year and a half I've owned it, I only had to replace the camshaft exhaust actuator solenoid. I spent $200, and got a tune, and routinely get 18 MPG city / 23 MPG highway. My best was a trip to Beverly, MA...
Thanks. Racing really isn't my thing. I just plan on using it to help keep me less fat, as I'm getting married in September. It's awesome to tool around on around town, and I bring it with me when I go to NH, as there are a ton of fast fire roads and old railroad beds around where I used to live.
I know it's a late response...Okay, a VERY late response, but I just saw that I never replied to your question. It was Josh B. who I later found out happens to be good friends with my fiance's older brother. I don't think he works there anymore. I believe he's in the process of becoming a pilot...
I personally love my Colorado. I consistently get 22 MPG out of my 5cyl crew cab. More than enough power for my needs. I've never been a big fan of any Chevy product until last May, when I had my Jetta worked on, and the only vehicle available was a Colorado. Less than a week later, I traded the...
The 5 foot bed is the one drawback of the crew cab Colorado / Canyon. However, if you don't mind lowering the tailgate, they have a bed extender adding another foot or so of bed space.
I can't say enough good things about my 2006 Colorado crew cab. It's got the 5 cylinder 4wd Z71 package. I routinely drive from CT to NH, which is 130 miles each way, and I average 23 MPG. I get about 16 MPG in the city. The truck has plenty of power, and I fit comfortably in the back seat (I'm...
I bought a 42" Olevia 1080p at Target a couple weeks ago for $950+ tax. Amazing picture, and the best deal I've seen around.
Just looked, and the same model is on sale (In store only) for $850...Bastards.
I managed to live to see another day. She actually wasn't pissed at all, and she even said she was glad I got something that will help keep me in shape.
Yes, I still live in Torrington. I checked out Tommy's, but everyone was too busy BSing and drinking coffee to bother to help me. I ended up going to Benidorm Bikes on 44 in Canton. Cool little shop. Everyone was super friendly, and made sure I was taken care of immediately, even though I told...
With my fiance. I stopped by the shop on my way home from work to pick up a rack for my truck. I walked out with the rack and this:
2008 Jake The Snake. For a grand, I just couldn't turn it down. I've been eying cross bikes for a while and we'll see if it's everything I'm hoping it is...
