    Yes you can use the fork without any air pressure. The fork has springs in both legs, and you use only air pressure as a preload adjustment. Max air pressure is 15.psi.

    05dj will have steel stanchions, now with 100mm travel. no more super t, but the junior t will stay. you will also get a cheaper 888, called 888vf(same as 888rt in 04), this will have 170mm travel and damping rods instead of cartridge.
