Also regarding the blasting it is for a hardtail and yes depending on the pressure of the blast the sand can reduce a frame to dust in minutes.

Well looking heavy and being heavy are two different things , the BB7 ride amazing people whom have ridden these will tell you this.
You can get these to about 41lb i think but weight does not bother me as im used to riding 60lb beasts.

Well best way to do this is make sure you like the sport as my friend thought he would like it after spending 4grand on a new bike and hated it.

Yeah i have special type of compound for bearings by delta called 22 which is specifically for bearings.
So yes i have had bearing were they just push in with your thumb.

Just wondering what is the best to use when pushing bearings in?
Grease or loctite for bearings?
As i know the loctite makes them solid and really hard to get out without heating them.
But then i dont want to push them in with grease and they start to ovalise or loosen?

No it is a steel frame dark cycles scarab there is no internal skirt in the frame.

Yes but you are supposed to do a strip down and re grease ever so many of hours riding.

Shouldnt really happen to forks of this age , i have some 2001 marzocchi monster t and still have the original seals and bushings.
I have just pressed in my headset , FSA orbit MX all went in nice , straight and smooth with a dash of copper grease.
Now between the heatube and the cup is a gap very thin about 2 bits of paper.
But no matter how hard i wind the tool it does not go anymore l there is no lip in the headtube...

Are they like rings around the stanchions , are they 888 i have had this on many forks just the seals low friction seals would stop this or greasing on a regular basis.
Also yes bushings run a line up the stanchion
