For anyone in NZ...Dakine tailgate pads are really expensive...if you want one get in touch with me first.
I have a mate who makes tailgate pads for me and they are less than half the price of a Dakine one.
Just PM me...I will hook you up.
Walked into my local bike shop today to pick up zerode and saw this just sitting there looking all lonely.
A prototype sunday without the DW link.
We arent sure how the owner came upon it as we are in NZ, but it sure is a nice bike!
Its because the weight is right between your knees so very chuckable.
It doesnt ride like a heffer...it just feels it when you try to lift on the back of the ute.
The acceleration of the Zerode is amazing...if you're on a run and on the brakes just releaseing them is like firing up a rocket!
It just takes off like you wouldnt believe!
So after the maiden voyage on his new Jedi Dave says the new bike gets 2 thumbs up.
Just needs a bit of dialing in like any bike does.
The Zerode also had its first real hit out on real DH trails and it was so nice to ride...it only got sketchy when half way thru first run I totally lost the...
A mate just got his new 2013 Jedi 3 days ago.
We going for the maiden voyage tomorrow...very sexy looking bikes.
Will pitt Zerode against Jedi and report back.
I have wired and epoxied spokes on my powered velodrome race bike. Means the spoke nipples dont come loose with the vibration of the engine.
Makes for a sweet stiff wheel too.
I know that track/have ridden it and there is no 60ft stepdown.
A 30-40ft step down yes...actually there is a few of them.
But it is a super fast bit of track...and get it wrong and it will bite your ass hard!
Also Im not sure Id want to be taking hit where the force is being taken directly on the shock mounting bolt...it could end up doing more damage than good.
I do like the idea though...but maybe find a new way to attach it to the frame rather than the shock mount.
I do night shift every 3 weeks.
This week is one of those night shifts...personally I like it cos there is no management there and I can chill out and crank up the tunes and just get **** done!
nice cameo of you on the New Zealand news bulletin last night Jono/styledairtime.
Im guessing you got on there cos you knew the cameraman or reporter...you handsome sonofabitch...and have a shave!
My old faith had a bottle cage mount on the underside of the downtube....made for great camera footage. (only had an SD gopro back then though)

although its dry and dusty as all hell here I took the big bitch out for a burn on Saturday morning to test out the alfine undies.
Wanted to make sure they didnt interfere with anything.
Had to make a teeny tiny adjustment to it but all in all a raging success.
Keen to see how the other 2 find...
I really love trying out different mounting places.
I made up a plug to go in ur bar end and attach that to a cine arm and this is the outcome...well after the fork lower shot that is.
