is it that dinky though?

there's definitely a balance between risk and portability/weight.
Hey, not sure if this is the best place for this question as it's been ages since i've posted but here goes.
i have an old Kryptonite NYC Fahgettaboudit lock and chain combo but would like to use a smaller chain as the one i have is pretty long and weighs a ton... it's probably around 5' long...
been super busy traveling overseas for work but overall it's going well!
this has been my year so far behind the lens:

it's mid-April, you'll be in the States.
i definitely want to catch these shows, but ABQ might not work... Denver and CO Springs are close to each other though.
i drove from SPAC at Farm Aid, 2013 in a torrential downpour on my way back to Lenox. At some point a police car was going the other way, stopped, turned around and followed me for a few miles. that sucked. nothing came of it though.
i hope everyone fared ok w/ Ida... damn, some of the nation got slammed hard. we're sunny out here now and just a bunch of rain but i don't think much if any flooding around Boston.
i bought a Kryptonite chain/lock like that one when i lived in ireland, as i didn't have room for the bikes inside the house and they had to stay in the garden shed... i figured it wouldn't be so easy to try to carry 4 bikes chained together over a stone wall.
but that shit is heavy and i...
It's been ages since i had a Kryptonite lock and apparently a bic pen has rendered them pointless... what's a decent alternative for a bike lock in an urban setting if it's just gonna be locked for ~5-10 min?
