We weren't going to name it at all but our customers demanded that we give it some kind of name which we've been using to describe this design since 2005 - you probably never heard it before cause we don't make a big deal about it. VF4B just describes that it IS a 4 bar design and has a floating...
nah its all good... I also don't want a POS site and want everyone to get what they need quick and easy. Clearly there is still some work to be done... I am definitely one of those guys that will take a simple site with solid information over some crazy gadgety site thats hard to find stuff or...
Hey guys...
we've been using Firefox and IE and Opera to sort out the site but seems there is some other weirdness going on.
We'll look into it and sort it out right now.
Sorry for the frustration

Hey CC.
I think I will... should be fun too.
Lance has been relegated to riding a hardtail uphills until I get to see him in a few weeks. So it will be fun to ride the Legend and F1 back to back on Speedtrap shuttles. You should keep one of the new Jedi's there.
Yes I can make you one in...
Pslide your are absolutely correct. We've been working with bushings for a couple years now and when you weld you pull materials in different directions. My experience is .02mm can be the difference between play and no play.
I would figure most mfg.s just don't want to deal with the hassle...
Part of doing the refinement was finding out all this stuff. Looks like 90% we're going away from the maxle. However i did find that the Saint axle will work in its current configuration.
Here is the BB height. It might actually be a few mm high because the bike is leaning ever so slightly to the nondriveside while is was trying to take a pic and hold a tape measure.
The shock is a 9.5x3 in the 8.5" setting... basically there is nothing special or out of whack with this build...
I was bitching too and I installed about 6 of them. First jam a rag into the hole at the bottom of the canoe. I picked the spacers up off the floor about 20x until i realized that little trick.
Install the front ones first!!
Put both spacers in the eyelet and pinch them together... best you...
Keith was asking me to check the HA as well because in the pics he said it looked to steep, but 1 measurement is equal to 10000 opinions and sure enough it comes in at 64.
Here you can see the complete bike and the angle finder that was calibrated before measuring.
Actually its not welded on the inside -no need. Its just as a long weld is laid down as it gets hotter it will start to go all the way through and thats what your seeing. If you were able to turn your bike inside out you'd see the samething. The hand weld is all done on the underside.
Price will probably be about 3K with DHX5 although I am considering also offering the double barrel OE as it fits so nicely in the frame and all the dials are just packaged nicely in the frame.
Also me and Chris Canfield we're talking about hi-speed rebound and figure its actually something...
I've read this post a couple times but I still don't know how it reads... are you saying Canfield is a catalog bike or am I interpreting the meaning wrong.
Ok talking to Jason at Sicklines who has a large Socom.
It is 3169g which equals 6.98lbs without anything on it.
It's 9.53lbs with shock using a steel 450lbs spring and nothing else on it.
and the Sunday is about a lbs off of the Socom [+]

I'm actually at the factory right now going over how to machine the shock basement. It's really quite involved and is taking sometime to figure out the best way to make it considering how we want it to look.
email me with pics, a serial number and tell me where you're located... also can you take a pic of your sales receipt.
I'll take care of it.

Hey Kyle
I'll give props where props are due... you guys totally understand what a slopestyle bike is and I hope that in some way we are working together to define it. Basically we're building a bike that we collectively want for ourselves and our friends... mostly because this is the kind of...
Yeah no design can eliminate feedback and it changes as soon as you go up or down a chainring. So if you practically eliminate chaingrowth in say 32T x 12 as soon as you go to a 24T x 12 combination it will increase.
Seems strange to me there isn't a place on the internet that explains all of...
The Kona/Banshee style walking beam suspension aka [fauxbar, turner 4bar] could be classified as a single pivot in that its rear axle is attached to the main swingarm pivot directly, but activates the shock like a 4bar bike would... it kinda lives in two worlds.
Yes you are absolutely correct a...
