Specialized SX 2004 - cable routing front derailleur

E-type was just what I had. Your explanation makes a lot clear tome, the only problem is I don't have the plastic guide under the BB and they cant order it for me. Do you maybe know if the cable guide is the same as other cable guides around? Thanks!

Specialized SX 2004 - cable routing front derailleur

Does anyone know how that is supposed to go? For the rear mech there are mounts on the frame but for the front there is one but its isnt near the BB. I know for sure that the cable must go via the BB. I am using an e-type derailleur. This is the SX I am talking about: If I look at this...

    Cranks for my M3

Ive always ridden with 175 cranks, Ive never noticed it hit the rocks quite often but last time I rode my bike I did. I rode my M1 at that time. I think I best go with 165 or 170mm cranks. Now I am off to Portes du Soleil with my M3 and I'm in search for 'new' (or secondhand) cranks so I must...

using ETA on Shiver SC for 4x

Thanks all for your help. Too bad 2 people have a totally different opinion on the ETA. The Shiver I have is the 2003 model. Why is the Shiver SC bad for 4x? I know it isnt really light and its feeling might not be right for pumping but is it really that bad? I was going to use the fork...

using ETA on Shiver SC for 4x

I was wondering if I can use the ETA on my Shiver SC for riding fourcross. The manual only says that is can be unsafe for the rider to have less travel when riding downhill. Well, if it doesnt damage the fork, I am fine with it. So, does anyone know if riding with ETA on wil damage my fork? Thanks.

12mm to QR adapter fo any hub and every bike

I am searching for one of these. I saw one once and I think those things are usable on every bike but I am not sure. I mean, the thing is that its just a 12mm axle but the ends are cut to 10mm so it will fit the dropouts. I could make this myself. Only problem would be that normally on a 12mm...

    Failing shin protectors

Well, found them. Havent ordered them yet because I am having doubts over the 2006 or the older model. The older model is about 30 bucks cheaper so thats a lot. Are the new 2006 ones really worth 110 bucks? Are they so much better than the 2005 ones?

    Headtube problem

Ive got a headtube which could be a bit too big. My headset goes in a bit too easy. According to Parktool mthe difference has to be about 0,1mm but with my bike and headset it is about 0,05. My headset is a FSA the Pig Pro and if my information is correct, this is already a pretty large headset...

A medium M1 without the suck?

Exactly what he said. On a single pivot is certainly is noticable so I would not exclude this from a horst link. Now, the problem is, the angles of the spreading of 'square' which makes the 4 bar linkage can be quite different but it may get about the same feeling on the bike, I dont know...

A medium M1 without the suck?

I think placing the shock under different angles certainly will cause the shock to respond differently. A shock mounted more vertical will react very different from a shock which is horizontal. On single pivots this makes major difference, I am sure it will on a 4bar as well but I can imagine...

A medium M1 without the suck?

Not really. But even if it did, more important is that he's looking for a bike which rides the same as the M1 rather than looking the same. If you check out the angles of the linkages and the shock I'd say all the lookalikes have the angle of the shock is too vertical instead of horizontal...

    Failing shin protectors

All the ones I ever had, about 3 (that is since last year) were sliding off my knees. I really hate that especially when riding rocky trails. I have heard RaceFace or some other brand in cooperation with RaceFace made a pair which really stays were its meant to be. If anyone knows another...

A medium M1 without the suck?

I thought too a SGS rides about the same. Dont know for sure though. They sure do look a lot uglier than the M1.

    Fox Propedal problem

I've got a Fox Vanilla Propedal 9.5"x3" shock, which wasnt used a lot yet but I have a problem. First I thought my bushings did not fit well but when I wanted to be sure I found out it is the shock which has a very small amount of play. You can hear it and feel it as well too. As I am saying...

    888rc 2004 vs. 888rc2x vs. Boxxer 2004

Have ridden it some time now and the Boxxer mounted on my M3 on the upper picture feels a bit too low. My bike is feeling like its diving sometimes. Axle crown it is about 550mm I think. I got a recommended axle-crown distance from Intense for the M3: 562.5mm (approx. 22,15"). Also they say I...

    888rc 2004 vs. 888rc2x vs. Boxxer 2004

Ah I see, so I would need the new 2006 lower crown and the older 2004/2005 upper crown. The guy that wants to swap says its a RC 2004 model but according to Marzocchi those dont exist! Also, the 2004 model seem to have a problem with cracking lower crowns, did all of them had that? These are...

    888rc 2004 vs. 888rc2x vs. Boxxer 2004

Yeah, thats a dilemma because Intense told me the bike would be better off with a 200mm (8") fork. Since I cant mount a flat crown it will be pretty high up front then... If I check this first picture I really dont want to do it... But the second one seems better. And here is one...
