Thanks everyone.
I like the experiment idea it makes since and seems to be a good idea.
Thanks Mike B. that is pretty much what I wanted to know, and I had an idea of it with some michelin's in the past.
Thanks again for everyones help.
Later,
Tucker
Well thanks for the responses so far! I am still kinda looking for more info or more ideas. I would still like to hear from other with Tubeless ecperience and see if they have ever had any similar problems. Mike B if you read this I would like to hear what you have to say also.
Thanks again...
Ok, so I have have been running homemade tubeless on Singletrack rims for a while now with no problems with IRC Trailbear tires. I also have a bike with Bontrager Race Disc Tubeless wheels. I have been running Michelin Hot S tires on these wheels with the homemade mixture (water, liquid latex...
I was thinking what a good idea it would be for us to come up with a list of everything you should remember to take to a 24 hour race.
I know that any 24 hour newbies will really appreicate it.
So start your listing!
And don't just say Beer!
Thanks for the review, and the tips are nice too! Sounds like the great ride it was hipe to be. I will be looking forward to seeing what the come up with for the freeride bike next year thats vpp. Enjoy the new ride!
Those are some good looking pedals, and can you really have enough nice sets of Platforms?? Oh, they would be nice on the new Dual bike I am building also.
Here is a little info.
The pedals pictured where a Proto pedal that had the improper spindal, and what not fit in properly. It was only a early proto production run. I talk to Atomic about it and they said that the axel has been changed, and all problems will be solved before they pedals are...
Acadian,
What did you do to post the last pic? I tried but it was too big and I didn't want to have to go resize it. Any trick you could tell me.
Thanks.
Man Burly hardtails are great! I hope I can get a new one soon I can post a pic of, but the FS comes first right now.
I agree this should be a STICKY
:D
Yes, I know Dave's wheel and disc are a pain, and that is the fitst thing that comes to mind when I think about horizontal dropouts. That is what turns me away from the horizontal dropouts.
I get what you are saying about there disc mounting though, just have to wait and see a closer pic...
Tony,
This pic kinda shows the dropouts. Looks similar to the 24 dropouts, kinda, I know Evil probably has some cool engineering in the tensioners though.
It really depends on your intended use. I have been on a lot of FS trail bikes probably similar to what you are looking for. If you could tell me more what you are looking for in a bike and what it will be used for, I can give you pros and cons to both these bike and others.
You can't go wrong with the SPEEDPLAY Frogs! I have them on 3 bikes and had the same sets for 3 years with no probs. PM me if you have any specific questions about the pedals.
I don't know if they have released them yet or not. I was told today that they are waiting on there 2002 product shipment for early March, I don't know if this includes the rotors or not.
My questions is will we be able to find an adapter to fit a 185 mm rotor on like a fox fork? Ask Instigator...
