Ha! That's a good one!
I'd love to hear the answer to that question as well, but I've got a pocket of cash that says you won't get the answer here.
But in the event that someone is feeling generous, and wants to help out a local brother...please PM me. ;)
I should add a disclaimer. My opinion is based on how much fun MR was 4-5 years ago, when it was buff, smooth single track. It is still a nice ride with gorgeous, sweeping views of the ridge lines, mountains and gulch. But the draw for me, was always the speed and flow of that trail. Now it...
Rode up DG and down MR 2 weeks ago. DG is in great shape, but MR is almost ruined from motos going up. Deep trenchs, ruts and big pot holes in the trail. Luckily, I was on my V-Tach, so I railed it anyway, but I feel sorry for anyone with less than 5" of travel, cause some of those pot holes...
I'm planning on going to the Rat Pac for the first time this Sunday. Has anybody been there recently that might have some advice? I'm tentatively planning on going on the loop that is shown in the map on the Evergreen MBA page.

Thanks for the videos! Those are not the tribute videos I was referring to, but those are similar. The dirts jumps in your videos used to be down the road from St. Eds/Finn Hill, right next to a fire station. They dozed those jumps around the same time that they ruined all the ladders, dirt...
Thread jack warning!
There's a little stump/kicker in the hills behind the dirt jumps that can give you 30ft+ of high speed air (horizontally), but you're never more than a couple feet off the ground. Me and a friend had a distance contest there. I think he hit 35ft... You pedal like a...
They're west of the main trail. One entrance is at the clearing at the top of the downhill section that's all beat to snot.
I rode there Saturday. The trails are fine, but every structure is damaged or useless. The big drop down by the tracks keeps evolving. It gets gnarlier every year...
Bummer, I just rode there for the first time yesterday, and I skipped the 2 trees trail. The Southern Traverse had a little section that went down into the ravine that allowed some downhill speeds to be achieved, but it was short and had a lot of trees to go around. Wish I would have read this...
I'm planning a trip to Moab at the end of September, beginning of October. I'm looking for advise on good places to stay (camping), good trails to ride (freeride/all mountain orientated), or other advice.
I'm going with 3-4 others, who all have Freeride bikes. We plan on taking turns...
That would be sweet. The BBTC (or it's new name) are the ones that do the upkeep there anyway. Closing the park just means we have to piss in the woods.
But really, should parks be the first thing they cut? That's just lame.
That would awesome if you had it. I still ride there, and I can never quite put into words how great that place used to be when I talk to other about it. The video was awesome, and highlighted the glory days when you could go to St. Eds and actually learn how to freeride or dirt jump, if you...
Anyone know the link (if it exists anymore) to the St. Edwards/Finn Hill tribute video that some guys made a few years ago? Back when there were doubles, drops, ladder work, etc at St. Edwards.
No, that's a picture from '07 during my one and only visit to Bootleg. That place was insane. I had a blast. You might recognize this trail as well (I still can't see the trail, even though I've ridden down it):
Ginger...easily the hardest trail I've ever ridden in my life.
