Here's a decent 3-stone system.

Unless the blade is very old, you don't have to put alot of work into maintaining an edge. On the 3-stone kit, the coarse stone is overkill on new knife. Grinders and electric...
Sup,
When using the steel...make sure you don't overuse it. You can roll an edge pretty easy. Also, keep the edge much longer by not trying to saw through the cutting block.

Thanks chufta...:clapping:
I haven't seen a pic of that bike for awhile. I used to check out the UK mags for just a glimpse of it...
Did you ever get a chance to ride it?

Sup,
Anyone have a pic of that old Scott USA carbon fs frame? I can't remember the name of it though. I guess it was like 1996 or so...that frame looked pretty cool...

Sup,
Looking for a little help here with a spring for an El Jefe(stratos) rear shock. Obviously the company is out of business...but, are there any other replacement springs that'd fit the El Jefe?

Sup,
The 2002 came in 2 versions. The DH and the comp(a couple other versions ouside of the US as well). If you have the DH model it'll run an 8.75 x 2.75 and the comp will run a 7.75 by 2.25. As for a list of all the shocks that will have no clearance problems...I have used a fox rc...
Sup,
Just make sure you stop at the Moab Diner for breakfast Burritos! One of those and a couple pancakes...fuel for the day. Don't be the last person on the ride.

Sup,
The 2002 comp ran "TruVativ ISIS, spline, 73x125mm"...the 2003 comp ran a..."Truvativ ISIS DH, 73mm shell width, 118mm spindle length, E-Type" . The 2002 Bighit DH is the same frame as the comp for 2002 and 2003, less the linkage.
I've run both a 118mm and a 123mm with no problems...
Sup,
It seems like the only issue would be the chain stay. If the link is the same then it'll bolt directly to the frame like the older model. If the chainstay has the same dimensions and bolts directly on as well....26 inch Bighit??? It would be sweet.
Any Spesh shop guys know???
Dolt.
Sup,
Maybe some of the shop guys that carry Specialized can see if this is possible. From what I have read on the new BigHit...it is using the same rear linkage that was an upgrade on the 2002/01 BigHits(Biglink). I'm wondering if the 2006 entire rear triangle is capable of being run on...
...
How about a SuperD race down the shuttle road???:thumb:
Had a great time...just wish there were more races there or like it...
I'll be there again next year...
