I was running DRT levers with MT5 calipers for some time, and I can 100% confirm what @Udi says. Lever throw was longer than what I would have liked, so I had to run the levers quite far out or otherwise they would touch the grip before the brake bites. But what bothered me even more was the...
Does anyone know if these are the right parts for a coil spring conversion of a 2014/2015 650B Fox 40 Float?
https://www.ridefox.com/img/help/page744-U9SE/2016-40-VAN-203mm-Coil-Spring-Assembly.jpg
Fox does list these parts for a 2016 40 VAN, but they don`t mention wheel size anywhere...
Udi, where did you find the weight of the Reign Al frame? All I can find is one pic of a frame on a scale where it says 3350g with headset, BB and shock, which should translate to roughly 2850-2900g for the frame only...
The Rental carbon version is not mentioned in the test, so no need to panic :D
The essence of the test can be found in the two diagrams in the upper part of the 3rd page and can be understood w/o knowledge of german language: no. of cycles required for a bar to fail and weight of the bar/stem...
The test is available for download from the mag`s website - german language only, however.

never saw no 650b speci enduro evo proto so far + mick was running a bos fork, which is 26" only afaik. so i was lead to believe that the outdated wheel size is still capable of winning wc races
I'm using a RC4, have not yet tried putting a different shock on the bike, as I have no other 240mm shock sitting around here. Might try the 222mm Vivid from the other bike...
However, the movement does not come from the shock, it is fully extended and nothing is moving or extending any further...
Santa Cruz have responed to my email, they are saying this was perfectly normal. It is a side effect of the high leverage ratio at top-out and the orientation of the links, which seems to make sense to me :)
With the shock (Fox RC4, btw) installed on the frame I couldn`t detect any slop in the DU bushings. Admittedly, it is a bit difficult to be 100% sure about this with the shock installed. Will take the shock from the frame and if I can feel any slop in the shock bushings with the shock removed...
The frame was purchased in the US, so taking it back to the shop is no option. Still hoping it might be normal. However, I do think it looks sort of strange.
Back from the garage, flipping the chip to 8.5" didn`t change anything. Was not able to detect any slop in the DU bushes as well. The movement appears to come from the upper link, the bearings seem to be fine though.
Found a picture of a hyper-extended V10 ->...
The frame is brand new, 2 days of riding, so this should be no wear. Don`t know if the play/flex was present from the start, I just realized this. Could this be natural flex in the carbon upper link? I think I will try and put the shock in the 8.5" position to see if it feels the same or if it...
My new carbon V10 appears to have some vertical play in the rear end. Side-to-side everything is fine, but when liftting the bike with the saddle, the rear end will move / extend for a few mm before the rear tire lifts from the floor. This movement is not the shock extending from sag position. I...
the geometry figures on the nicolai website are not correct. i think they are for the pre-2010 models. for 2010 the head tube got shorter (->114mm, ~4.5") so you can fit a boxxer with the low top crown. they also slackened the head angle by 0.5°.
my `10 ion in the low setting sits at 13.4" bb...
what`s the deal with the updated 2010 boxxer? did rs manage to cure the problems many people had? i know that rs has worked on the sticky/clicking rebound cardridge, but did this solve the problem? also, did they change anything with the too tight bushings some people were complaining about...
what you are talking about is the o-ring in the part called "cardridge body cap" in the picture attached? i guess i`ll try to find an o-ring that fits and see if this helps. better than sending the fork to marzocchi in the middle of the season...
