    Turning techniques

Like others have said the main thing is to find what works for you.....feet level, one foot down it doesnt matter as long as you get through the corner fast. One thing everyone should do regardless of style should be to KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND LOOK THROUGH THE CORNER!! When your half way through...

    DH Fender

The majority of the mud that hits your face/body is spat up from your front tire into the air and you ride into it.... The easiest way is to grab an old DH tube, cut it to fit from your fork arch to your bottom crown. Cut holes in each side and zip tie the four corners down tight. You...

Any news on the 07 u.s. world cup race?

http://www.cyclingnews.com/mtb/?id=mtb07 i googled it and found this site.... has every race you could possibly imagine, it take a little time to search through all the races, but thier all in there. Bromont, Tremlbant, (i think saint anne), Whistler and the Nationals at Mount Washington. I...

    World Cup points

As for racing world cup when your a junior I think your best bet is to contact your cycling governing body (for me it was the Canadian Cycling Assosiation) and talk with them to see if you are eligable. If you are top 10-15 you should be fine.

Advantages in height for DH racing.

A buddy of mine that i have ridden with for a couple years and travelled with last year is 6'5 and i'm 5'8 or so.... Like someone else said being tall has it's advantages and being shorter has it's advantages. In tight twisty trails i can loose him easier beacause he's not as nimble. But...

    official final NORBA calendar...

Bromont is almost always a **** show and always the first race of the season.... At least there was a stream running down the middle of the track so you didn't get lost on the way down!

    official final NORBA calendar...

The thing is like someone else pointed out, what will look better on a resume? and will get companies more exposure? Doing the entire Norba curcuit? Or select Norba's and Series Races? I to would for sure be down for a legit eastern series

    official final NORBA calendar...

Reading this thread is giving me serious second thoughts on my plans for next season.... I'm from south eastern canada and was/am planning on saving up loads of money over the winter and racing the entire Norba curcuit. Maybe I should just look into doing a couple North Eastern US series'?:brow:

    Canada Cup only for Canadians?

I'm not too sure about this one.... I know that you can race any Canada Cup series race, but the race at Whistler is the Canadian Nationals.... I'm not sure if you can race and your result won't count, or they will only allow Canadians to race? I'm sure Transcend will be able to answer your...

    Building up endurance?

Like someone said earlier, take all of this advise and do what will work for you. But I would say that one thing you need to do for sure is to build up a base.... what ever your routine is, don't start into it full on the first day. You will more than likely burn out quickly and there is more...

Updates from Vigo - World Cup #1

Thats great that there are so many riders out there racing. Do you have to have a UCI point to be able to race a WC? Or did they go back to how they had it a couple of years ago where you just had to have an "elite" status?

    Crank Bros 5050XX - what's the verdict?

Is that heavy compared to other pedals?? If you are going to get these pedals for sure go with the sealed version. I rode mine down at Sea Otter and a couple times after that and i had to take them apart to clean and relube them because they would seize over night.

    Crank Bros 5050XX - what's the verdict?

Are the only difference in the pins the length? If so I would just get set screws for them.... The stock pins don't seem to do much, and i couldn't see them being much better in a little longer version. I'm not sure what other flat pedals weigh in at, but i weighed my bike the other day with...

    Crank Bros 5050XX - what's the verdict?

I rode mine with 5-10's and found my feet still shifted on the trails.... so i replaced the pins with half inch set screws and they work amazing. About 100 set screws will run you about $10-$15 and i think the pedals are around $60 or $70 for the none sealed version.

Just ordered some Mallet C clipless/ now which shoes?

The 661 Launch shoes are very nice as well, good fit, good protection and look good. I would suggest getting a "skate style" shoe instead of an XC shoe if your running the mallets because you need the sole to rub on the outside of the pedal. Or else i found they unclipped way to easily.... Or...
