I am looking for a zero/low stack headset for my '08 BigHit. It has the standard 1 1/8 headtube. I have found several headsets out there with 1 1/8" in their description, but it also comes with a few other numbers as well. Someone once told me that there is no such thing as a true zero stack...
Went to Palmer Park last weekend and I must say I was very disappointed. I checked out Edna Mae and most of that trail isn't even rideable. Nothing really there for a bike like mine. I just read something about Jones Downhill. Anybody been there before?...and would like to do it again? If...
ok...so I ran into a "local" here in the Springs and he told me that this place is an epicenter for downhill but pretty much on the "down low". I should've known...it's pretty much like that anywhere in the country. He did tell me about a couple of the trails that weren't too far from our...
Not necessarily IN Colorado Springs...we'll say from Pueblo up to Castle Rock out to Woodland Park. I'm not necessarily looking for lift access (I found all those already). I'm just looking for a place to ride a DH bike and do some FR-type stuff. I would be grateful to anyone who knows of any...
just like the title says...looking for DH in the Springs area. I heard there were some runs in the area but know one I ask seems to know where they are. Anyone?
My bike was stolen today in Las Vegas. Stopped at a McDonald's on my way to Bootleg. Came out about 15 min later and it was gone off the rack. I ask everyone to keep their eyes peeled on the 'net for it...ie craigslist, ebay, pinkbike, etc. I cannot afford to replace it so my only hope of...
Can you tell me how to get to that San Juan trail? I'd like to hit it this weekend. I'd be coming from SB county. Also, can you PM me the names of those trails not to be named? That would be awesome!
Just put a Roco WC on the bike...rear end feels sooooo much better! :weee: It raised the BB height from 12" to 13.6"...Now I need a new fork (maybe a 888)!
What shock are you running?...and what fork? I just bought a 9.5x3 Marz Roco. I love that shock..had them on other bikes. I hope it works just as good on my Flatline.
At BrayDownhill, thanks so much for the input...makes me feel much better about owning this bike!
Well, that thread does answer some questions, but I my bike is not the "Pro" model..it's the "FR" model. I guess my biggest question is what size shock are people running on theirs. My OEM shock is 8.5x2.75, but I heard I can run up to a 9.5x3 to get more travel. I don't see how I can do that...
My new rig is an '09 Flatline...and even though it's an '09, it looks like the "older" style frame (the one that most don't like). I'm asking if anyone has any experience with them because this is my first non-FSR DH bike. I've always had BigHits, Demos, and A-lines. What do you like about...
I appreciate you raising the BS flag on the no dig, no ride policy at TW. I will still offer help if it's needed and I'm there. I'm def. gonna hit ATT the next time I'm in the area. That guy at the shop wasn't really discouraging me from riding, he just wasn't encouraging me TO ride. He said...
I'm on the other side of Barstow. I know it's kinda out of the way from most places. I was in the SD area this past weekend. I hit Vail Lake on Saturday before the rain came. I liked the one dh run that was there (the one with the two wooden bridges), but I thought the rest was kinda lame...
Hey all, I've been away from the dh scene for a couple years and I now have a brand new rig that's beggin' to be ridden. What is a good place for me to "ease" back into riding? I'm fairly new to socal so I would need directions as well...or if there's a group riding somewhere tomorrow, maybe I...
