I'm not going with v-brakes becuase the ridge can't take them anyway. So are hydraulic disc really worth the almost 2x price diff as compared to mechanical? -

Don't even think about making a transaction over Western Union with anyone in the UK. I got ripped off last week for $500 on a bike that I was trying to buy.
