I don't think I actually have COVID. I have a runny nose, but no fever. But I need to get more tests, how did we run out of the free tests?

didn't sleep well away from home past few nights. too much waking up and having multiple vivid dreams every night leaves me felling not well rested despite being in bed for 8-9 hours. woke up, packed shit up and threw it in the car. snowboarded a few hours. think i have a minor rib fracture after a bad side hit landing. oh well. got home around 8; 14yo's friend promptly left the front door open and the uncatchabru asshole dog ran off into the night. finally got him in the car. wife went to grocery store and was pissy because of all of the things we need to do tomorrow, plus my pops arrives tomorrow evening. but it's her idea to go skiing 6 hours away right before xmas every year. hrmf. dislike les holidays. like regular schedules with no bullshit memory making expectations. c'est la vie.

Ride was good. Not epic or awesome. Just good and for now that’s enough.

Traffic in town was epic in a bad way. Bumper to bumper from South to North through the entire town.

Sekt made by a friend and Japanese food for dinner.

No, no, and no.
30 minutes on the phone with tech support, then escalated to the app team and all I had to do was toss the breaker and then it connected. Kinda like a Windows machine, you gotta hard reset it every now and again it seems.

I did learn where all the settings are now, the manual is totally useless.
Windows does not require "hard reset" if updates are installed when they are released.

My work laptop needs to be restarted at least once a week (Windows 10) and my dev box gets rebooted multiple times a day (Windows 11). I've never known a Windows machine to have extensive uptime, but maybe that's just me.

I have workstations in use constantly (hundreds, 24/7), that get rebooted quarterly if I can make operations take the couple of minutes to do so. I have a bunch at ~130 days uptime currently...
