About to head out on a rental bike for the morning, the saddle appears to be an ass hatchet and the rear tyre has a bald spot.

Bodes well for a 70 mile road ride...

In hell. Welcome!
Freaking taxes half done. Now brunch with wifey in a picturesque coastal town. Gonna ride in the evening as the new tires won't shred themselves.

Picked up the extra, non-ugly wheels for the Land Cruiser from my former neighbor who has bad wheel taste (he preferred Rockstars). Acquired kare pan. My section chief and his wife are coming over in a bit to drive the Tesla and meet the baby, respectively. :D

70 freedumz today means bike ride right? Nope, doing yard work before I pick the wife up at airport from her 2 week ‘girls’ Costa Rica yoga retreat. Ride tomorrow in the cards

Ah, I see, your smart phone has dementia.
That is an accurate description.
It was super annoying on a 3000 mile road trip where every day, a few times a day, I needed directions to someplace I had never been.
I did a lot of it the old fashioned way, using maps and asking gas station attendants, who now also have no idea where anything is without a device.

Ran another race today. A 6.55 mile "quarter marathon." I wasn't planning on racing today but the race director gave me a free entry ($55) so I sort of had to. I kept the effort dialed way back and finished 6th place overall (out of around 380). I won my age group which was really all I wanted to do since it won me a nice winter hat that MBC had requested I win for her. This was my third time doing this race and it's one of my favorites because the post-race food is all baked goods. Burn 600 calories then eat 2000 calories of sugar!

Placed a bid on eBay for a Mar-Dec 1976 collection of Playboy magazines. If I win, I’m going to have the seller ship them directly to a friend who’s going through chemo, battling Hodgkin’s disease. He’s the type of dude who’s spirits will he lifted by the arrival of some vintage smut... not that he’s into smut but more that he really enjoys random funny things. I plan on never telling him I sent them.

Oh the absurdity of what transpired tonight is off the charts.

After a long day of driving we pull into a rest area, the wife is grumpy and we just wanna eat quesadillas. So I open the fridge and see a mystery red substance that has dripped all over. Weird, the salsa jar which I am holding in my hand appears perfectly fine and intact. Until of course the bottom falls out and dumps a 95% full jar all over everything. :stosh:

So I clean up while wifey cooks dinner. Two bites in and I get a nice cruuuunch. Yup, turns out this guy just ate a piece of glass. :rockout:
