Went for a nice little hike yesterday.
Trying to fit a ride in today.
Sprinter needs a wash and to be waxed so it doesn't turn into a rustier bucket.

But first, let's walk the lady dog.

Having middle-finger ish'es and I think is making my bicep cramp during extension. If only someone could be willing to talk - generically of course - about how long parts of the anatomy are and the effects it has... I think that'd help me focus.

Finally installed the Manitou Revive I got on the pistola. Now I see what all the fuss is about.

Took a nice fall ride on an unpaved section of rail trail that finally reopened at some point this year (was closed due to unrelated construction). Kids held up for an hour long ride, a little over 5 miles. Then came home, made pizzas, and watched some Harry Potter.

HEY, lol. I thought about going for a short run today but there's just no fuckin chance....I am beat. I'll climb into the KICKR for some short, easy recovery though. Wife is off on the MTB with Splat et al and I am jealous. I've got a noon appointment for the COVID/flu double jab.

Up way fuggin early, cause why not. Is today the day I start chipping away at my auto maintenance backlog? Maybe. But also maybe not. Who knows. Not I.

Went to dinner with a friend to celebrate her retirement and had possibly one of the best meals I've had on this continent. Entirely too much wine and whiskey went along with it, so it's gonna be a slow day around here today.

working again today. took a break from the nominally 7-5 work to snuggle with snuggly middle kid since it is also a weekend and there's nothing super urgent.

First day in a month I was able to do absolutely nothing yesterday, felt great, going to survey the pads today to see what exactly I got for dimensions and what will fit.

Also need to find my drip torch and propane torch in storage since I have so much shit to burn

where the trails are
Awoke to more rain, dashing hopes of a big ride in the death clay zone. Probably have breakfast and ride something on the way home.

Great Chinese food last night in GJ, sat across from an older skin, white pride tattoos on full display, having dinner with what I’m fairly certain was his Hispanic wife and kids. Keep it classy, west side.

I thought I was being smart taking my kids to the LBS for some shit talking. They got water bottle holders and the mini rug rat got streamers for her bike.

Win win

I had two things to do last night. I opted to do neither, for reasons. Instead, I noodled with some music gear, got frustrated, and went to bed. I ate half of a half of a gummy before bed and slept better than usual.

Did that Miyagi's wax on wax off bullshit for the entire van. Shoulders are sub optimal right now.

I was able to get out for a quick ride before, so this Sunday is not all pain and misery.

Here. Leaving TX. The airport is a shit show, assumingly because of the F1 race this weekend. I wanted to be at the airport 2hrs early, Dad said that we only needed 1hr. We got there at 1:30hrs out and had to run to the gate. Ugh. Good to see my sister and her family too though.

I have no idea where I am
Just got a short ride in. Watched a couple of Boomers load their massive e-bikes onto their vehicle. Took both of them to lift the rear of each bike.

Successfully used some acorns to help corner. Full on two wheeled drift. Weeee…

I bet the two I have are easily 50lbs each but are very manageable when upright on the rear tire loading onto the tailgate. not much different than a dirt bike for me

Shuttled Happy Jack back to town. Newly opened trail allows for 20 miles of 100% singletrack back. From town to the summit is like 14 minutes up Route 80. Options for way more. Holy poop!
