Good morning my cherubs!

Confession time: sometimes when I know my MIL is lurking around and I just cant, I'll pretend I need to poop so I can go sit on the toilet and play on my phone, all so I dont have to interact with her.

Just saw on the interwebs that the Patagonia Worn Wear team will be at my local ski area tomorrow and Thursday. I've got some broken coats and some other stuff that needs zippers repaired, plus I like skiing so... hm.

Morning Monkeys.

The hail Mary job passed due to soft networking. The whole "I like you, but..." is getting old. Still waiting to hear from one other shop before the next round of spam.

I would like to say I feel good about this one, but saying that is getting old, too. :shakefist:

this has been an on-going saga.
Ours backed up last year when everyone was living here. The access pipe in the front doesn't have a proper lid, so if it backs up, I get shit in my barkdust that flows downhill into the grass. It backed up again weekend before last and I rented a snake and unstuck it. But the rental snake didn't have the toothy end like the plumber had.

He was able to get it clear, but I am going to dig it up. I don't think I will do the fix, but I can do the hard labor and save a few hours, I hope.

Took the Subaru in for service yesterday at Subaru specialist shop and got an older Outback for my loaner. One that has the mechanical AWD, no traction control (I like this better), and regular tires. The tires gave me a big reminder as to why the right lane going over Berthoud Pass goes so slow and how "normal" people drive in snow conditions; snows are just cheating.

Their 50% sale is going on at their website too. If I needed gear, I'd be getting some. Their long-term policies are well worth the premiums for the clothes; same with Flylow. I'll be sending my bib to them after winter to fix some cutting in the Cordura ankle section.

Just watched a video of some drunk guys playing with a sword and one dude tries to cut a sausage (?) the other dude holds in his mouth. I'm not going to unpack all that but he cuts the guy's nose off.

And that was probably the highlight of my day.

Hello all. Roads were a minor shitshow this morning. Nevertheless, I persisted in finding alternate routes with less literal gridlock.

Just had discussion with Subaru shop about repairs. Valves are maladjusted but not an issue for now... Got the sales-y try to upgrade the services (which all shops do) and noted when I did my STI swap a few years ago I didn't do any of that additional work and even with heavy track abuse it didn't cause any issues. Pretty much killed that part of the conversation immediately.
