We'll feel it, see it, and be just far enough away that we're looking at 3' of ash - immediately uninhabitable - but not blown up. And enough to make leaving impossible, because it's by foot and snowing glass.

Looking at the actual capabilities of this particular super volcano..... I am pretty confident the shockwave from the blast will take us out instantly.
