What up, doe. I dragged myself out of bed at 5:00 this morning and hit the pool for 2600 yards. I'm finally getting some endurance back after taking six months off. I am still slow as hell but at least I can cover the distance.

WFH day with a mountain of laundry to tend to.

the former president of iran would like to say the same....
"Raisi, who died at age 63, was known to some as the “Butcher of Tehran” for being one of four judges activists accused of overseeing the execution of thousands of political prisoners in 1988 following the Iran-Iraq War. An estimated 2,800 to 5,000 people were killed, according to Human Rights Watch, but Iran has never publicly acknowledged the incident."

...oh no...

Anyway.

Long travel day yesterday, 15 hours from Squamish to home. Kind of wrecked today, legs are definitely trashed after basically a week straight of riding. Better get up and make the donuts…

Every day I ask should I go to work or get my passport and move to Costa Rica? The balance keeps moving.
Better start eating massive quantities of rice and beans in preparation.
Definitely should have taken the Costa Rica option.
My company just opened an office in Costa Rica, in San Jose, and there was a position available to go for 16 months all expenses paid to stand things up. I thought hard about taking it, but did not. A friend ended up taking it and is moving his family down in a month.

Holiday here today.

Just finished some coffee and now will probably take the bike up for a short ride. Feeling pretty pooped though.

My ex BIL made a literal fortune selling his condo in '08 just before the crash. He bought 5 acres on the beach for $25k, bought an Isuzu Trooper off Craigslist, packed it full, sold or donated what didn't fit and drove down. He built a cool surf shack and was living the life for a couple years until he actually missed the rat race.

He still has it, but he moved back to San Diego and took a sales job for fun.

Its a bank holiday in Denmark. I first went for a ride. I was not feeling great with allegies that has hit me harder than every since last weekend. I did not ride great. Made some mistakes and cut the ride short.

Planning to fly to the states with the boys on july 1st. Besides NYC we are also planning a road trip to TN to visit old friend through RM.
