Tired. Bladder region decided to start reminding me last night that I did indeed just have surgery. That combined with the bowels resolving themselves after the post-opiod nuking (aka Miralax) makes for a very unbalanced stomach-pisser area.

Might go get a sport coat today. Really thinking about ordering a new rear sway for the M and a new lower dash (Euro version) that is 2" shorter, so adds a lot more leg room throughout the car. Still debating on both, but they are getting more rare, because the car is getting older.

Riding the baggage carousel.

Went to COS Philharmonic for John Williams extravaganza. Had an amazing time.

Also completed new drag link and tie rod for jeep eliminating the mystery "clunk" in tight turns.

Hoping to do nothing today. Must go in search of coffee and walk the dog.

I took the tri bike outside today for the first time this year. 63.5 miles at 19 mph. It was a damp morning but the rain mostly held off. My formerly squeaky clean bike is now covered in road dirt and grime.

Man am I bored.
ditto.

it’s fucking awful having my parents here because they’re too old to really do anything plus my mom is obsessive/compulsive, prone to panic attacks, constantly having an upset stomach or some other issue, and her memory/word recall is starting to fail-many of these things are linked to early dementia, but the thought of that terrifies her so she won’t do shit to help herself..so we basically end up hanging around the house and running errands with them. plus they just hover over you and stalk you all over the house. i literally end up hiding from them half the time. they also constantly say they feel bad they’re not “doing” anything with the 13yo and 9yo...but i’m not sure what they think they’re going to “do” together...

tl;dr-old annoying parents are old and annoying. thank the fsm they only visit twice a year for 4 days each time.

It figures, everything on the truck and fender looked good, but its not. Lots of bent sheet metal at the bottom edge of the truck bed. I was able to bend most of it back to close to its original shape so that the flare would fit. Some of the flare mounts are too damaged to reuse so I will have to creatively drill and bolt in new places ( it's either that or spend $800 on a new flare vs $3,00 in bolts, nuts, and washers.). All in all It should work out, after taking 3-4 times as long as I thought.

Fired up the Welder just to fool around with it. As soon as I touched the stick to the piece of steel. I heard a pop. Then saw a puff of smoke. The whole rod immediately melted. I reset the circuit and tried again. No nothing now.

And... Back at the hospital. Hannah slipped while looking out the window and face shotted the window frame. Good deep, 1/2" long cut under her eye. Probably going to need a few stitches. Here for at least the next hour. Hell of a week...

Lawn mowed and trimmed. Talked to my 86 year old neighbor about having a tree removed that sits between out houses. He is a rad neighbor. Cleaned sharpened and depth gauged my chainsaw. Time for tacos and beer. Adam Sandler on SNL tonight. Might be a Dutch master kind of night.

Went to a bike demo day at local XC place. Meh....

God damn Race Face crank on my Transition keeps coming loose.

Took out a Specialized Stumpjumper for a ride. Demo dude didn't bother with setting up anything on the bike for me, so I just said fuck it and plowed it through every rock and root on the trail. The Specialized seatpost was turned up to 11. Dont know how much pressure was inside it, but it shot up like a rocket. Seat post eventually broke mid ride, which sucked.

Another ride planned tomorrow on some amazing local trails. First time in there this year. Cant wait..

Three stitches. Was on the cusp of needing or not needing, but it being face they erred to minimize scaring.

My new friend brought a huge chunk of Tuna home from New Jersey. She cooked up some fancy Rice and rolled the Tuna slices up in Plastic wrap with the Rice. She served it with Pickled radish, some kind of cabbage, and fresh ginger. It was honestly one of the best things I have ever ate. She made her famous Egg Drop Salad with it also. I drank Sake for the first time in years. It was good Sake too. Very good... I took her storm windows off and fixed her new bike.

Productive couple of hours getting the outer fender flare mostly remounted. I had to run down to Ford to get a new set of push pins to secure the inner splash/mud liner. and I need to hit Lowes to pick up some bolts, nuts and washers as I am going to have to drill in some new mounting points to the bed to take the place of 4 out of 12 flare attachment points that are too badly damaged to re use. Should take me about 2 hours tomorrow to button everything up.

Area below marker lights gets new mounting hardware to close the gap with the bed
