tell me more about this bizarre world you live in
Our lodge has a pretty big menu lunch and dinner 7 days a week. They do Sunday breakfast that apparently just started (I've been a member for like 2 months). Meetings are Thursday and it's always Sirloin steak special, or so it seems. Taco Tuesday and Spaghetti Wednesday are once a month or something. Both also serve as fundraisers for something different every month, I think.

I've lived in town about 10 years, but I've never really hung out with locals. The Elks is definitely a who's who in town. My neighbor across the street joined a few years back and had been hassling me ever since.

It's weird because I am very different than pretty much everyone there, but I can generally find common ground with about everyone on some level. But just like the VFW, I'm the only one there who doesn't have a concealed carry permit.

I am guessing you are also the only one not wearing white loafers or New Balances

Just logged in here after ages. Should be eminently do-able this year! Short hop from SFO, even.
