Coffee and Baja dot-stalking this morning, then going out to check trail conditions for an all-day ride. It's not looking good for the ride, but the Baja watching is great. Watched the first moto cross the finish line last night, and the first Trophy Trucks finished a few hours ago... The leader in Class 11 is just shy of RM500. This year's race is 806 miles, with a 36 hour time limit. High confidence there'll be some 11s finish inside the time limit this year. It's a loop course, rather than a point-to-point peninsula run like we did. Logistics seem SO much easier...

Okay... paging @6thElement for a trail conditions update.

Coffee consumed, getting ready to go meet my cousin, nephew and grand nephew and take a hike around Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Sanctuary (my cousin is the Director there) it's about 90 minute drive from here. Then taking them for Lunch at Phil's fish market in Moss Landing on the Monterey Bay. It should be a fun day:cheers:

Rode this morning and froze my nuts to the seat.

Small update to the stolen bike stuffz. We spoke to the guy who has the bike a little more; apparently he "received" the bike from a friend at a pawn shop down in the city. He then posted the bike in PinkBike's buy/sell to see how much it was worth. We convinced him to return it to the pawn shop (he refused to give it directly to us), which he did this morning. My friend, the owner of the bike, spoke with the pawn shop this morning and they are holding it until he picks it up. He is currently filing police report in that county and will have police escort to go pickup the bike.

So unless something goes titsup, he's getting his bike back after being stolen in June. Pretty sweet.

Declined attending @Full Trucker 's ride as the freezing fog at our house is slowly coating everything with ice that wasn't already icy.

Being Canadian, I expect their was a profuse amount of apologizing

I was at Elkhorn years ago. Hope it is still as nice.

Los Angeles is a dirty toilet. Zero fucks given. No self esteem. Scumbagery everywhere.

Sky blue. Water wet. I know.

We are going to drive straight through LA from Laguna Beach, not stopping till we hit Santa Barbara. Gonna drive up rt1 till we get sick of it. Probably stay in SLO

10 mile hilly run recently completed and now enjoying sitting on the coach in front of the BOOB TUBE. However, the wife has decided this is a good time to clean out the basement, so my couch time will inevitably be interrupted when she needs me downstairs for something.

Fire Roasted a Prime Rib Roast (13lbs) with Garlic and Thyme. Did the same with a Pork Loin Roast, and a brined Perdue Oven Stuffer Chicken with cornbread, mushroom, shallot stuffing. Made 25 balls of dough and peeled enough Onions and Potatoes to feed an army. Hired the Sexy Maid to be a helper/server. She cooked and cleaned her ass off. She made some delicious Onion Rings. Everyone was very nice to me and polite and everything. I haven't cooked for 25 people before. The Lady of the house just called and asked me to make a batch of my Hot Chicken Tenders as appetizers for the 4PM Game... 10 or 12 servings...
