Its never too hot to ride when you have a lake to jump into at the end...this. supposed to hit 97°F here, and feel like 106°F due to humidity. And my buddies still want to ride tonight. I'm not so sure.
When I rode in the heat last week, it took me a couple of days to recover. if I ride tonight, it will be very short, and very mellow. I have a 1/2 litre ice block in my camel back to keep me cool. still not sure.Ride last night kicked all of our asses, as mentioned by some other dudes it is balls hot and humid here. Looks like more of the same today. Finished the ride off with wings and beer, so it wasn't that bad.
I seem to have woken up with a pounding headache. This blows. Need to power through work today and then go for a quick ride tonight to get the brain unstuck. Then, attempt to bleed my Shimano brakes; first time doing Shimano, but should be easier than Avid's, right? Right?!
I don't know what a 341 is, but name calling isn't nice.Just dont forget your 341 nipplehead...
What machine did you get?
I my espresso machine.
@JohnE is going to be my "escort" at the Air Force Academy today. I am le excited, haven't gotten to ride falcon trail since teh new commander closed it off to us proles.
unless there is a brain eating ameoba in it....Its never too hot to ride when you have a lake to jump into at the end...
dont be a slut.....wait until the third ride before you put out...

Get the bleeding funnel, then it is a quick clean job. Then, attempt to bleed my Shimano brakes; first time doing Shimano, but should be easier than Avid's, right? Right?!

We rode in 100% humidity in rain in 75+F last night. Riding with prescription glasses sucks in such conditions. :/this. supposed to hit 97°F here, and feel like 106°F due to humidity. And my buddies still want to ride tonight. I'm not so sure.
I lamp.I my espresso machine.
Please, everyone knows I'm saving myself for Jesus.dont be a slut.....wait until the third ride before you put out...
WTF is a 341? If I need something besides my driver's license or SS card to get on base were gonna have a bad time.Just dont forget your 341 nipplehead...
I could deal with 100% humidity if it was 75. But 95 is tough. We rode in 100% humidity in rain in 75+F last night. Riding with prescription glasses sucks in such conditions. :/

since we're on the topic of shorts... I bought some specialized Atlas XC pro shorts earlier this summer. They are the first pair of mtb shorts I have ever bought that don't slip. My gut usually makes it hard for shorts to stay at my waist, and they slide down onto my hips. not these babies. I bought them a size up, tighten the velcro straps a bit, and boom! they stay put. the nice thing about them is they are cut tight, so if you go a size up, they fit normal. score!I got some new baggy riding shorts with a liner from REI recently. I tried them on last night and they seemed to fit, but the liner felt oddly small.
I rode to work in them this morning. The back of the liner was definitely too short, ass almost hanging out, and the chamois felt oddly forward positioned and really wide, to the point of distraction. I thought to myself that these are going back to REI pronto.
Then I got to my office, looked at said shorts, and found that the (removable, snap-in) liner was in backwards. Yup, that'd explain that odd fit...
yes. but surprisingly, they are not as expensive as other offerings from Sugoi, Pearl Izumi, Endura, TLD, Fox etc... when you consider that they come with a very good bib.dentist shorts
you are forgetting the ultimate dentist riding apparel... Assos.yes. but surprisingly, they are not as expensive as other offerings from Sugoi, Pearl Izumi, Endura, TLD, Fox etc... when you consider that they come with a very good bib.
also, you can't put a price on shorts that stay put.
I dunno - I've found (small sample size) that liners that come with baggy bike shorts are universally SHIT.I got some new baggy riding shorts with a liner from REI recently. I tried them on last night and they seemed to fit, but the liner felt oddly small.
