Was treated to a night of amazing food, too much champagne, craft beer and blues concert by a good friend Saturday. Still paying the price today with a grown up old guy hangover day 2.

Wife gave me 5 small bottles of what looks like delicious portwine and I dropped of a growler to my best riding buddy with fresh IPA.

Too hungover to ride so we went for a walk in this huge arboretum north of the city. Never to many people there and its free too.

Up early for 2nd covi test with my son as somebody in his class had it last week. First test negative and with his energy level I am pretty sure he is not sick.

I was grumpy because mondays but then I saw this and it made my day. The guy was supposedly coming down the drainpipe with a backpack full of extasy. Some people say he was naked too.

Lol, I wrote all of that just so you cold post something :-) Seriously, we took a lot of safety precautions and were all tested before we met. Higher risk of course than sitting at home but I try to keep an overall safe profile. Our biggest threat is school but that seems like it over later this week when the kids are sent home again.

Mornin!

A day full of tedium awaits me.

Went Christmas shopping with the wife yesterday. She was asking me what I want, and there's little I want that one can give, so it woukd appear I'll be getting a mess of books. I can certainly think of worse.

I miss hanging out with my parents. Haven't seen them in a couple of months at this point. :( Stupid covid precautions.

'Morning, peanuts! 2500 yard swim done early. I figured getting up at 5:15 would be tough after sleeping a shitload the prior two nights, but it was fine. Currently loading up on the coffee.

See, that's just being selfish. If that anti-lgbt politician would have just kept it to a more simple, smaller 4-man drug fuled gay sex orgy there would've been no problem.

My nose will not stop running like crazy. I wonder what everyone here in the office thinks of my sniffles?

Do you think the only reason he was at that orgy was to "penetrate the enemy" ?

The party was not the biggest problem IMO, but that you are potentially a 1. grade contact person (if your son tests positive, hopefully not!) and still dare to go to said party.
But oh well, thanks to all people that do not see the problem we are having the second lockdown. Thank you so much for helping to achieve this, great job!

He had of course tested negative by then so had I and the rest of the family and everybody I saw that day had also tested negative within 48 hours before we met. Everybody had full info and we have a friend who did not show up because he is afraid of everything. Still will always be a calculated risk in everything we do but I this time around I was happy with the risk level achieved not science but a personal choice of course.

:disgust1:

Just got back from walking the dogs and had to corral a loose dog that very nearly got hit by a car. The owner was very nonchalant about the whole thing.

Second loose dog we've returned in a month. WTF people?!

Here. Both girls tested negative. Wifey and I will know in a few days, but we're not concerned given our prior sickness.

Tested my dust collector last night and it works great. Only dust is what was expected off the blade, so I ordered a dust collecting blade guard. That combination should remove enough dust to allow me to use it inside. Also discovered that the workbench I made over the summer is only .25" shorter than my table saw. That is close enough that I can get away with throwing more spacers under the wheels to use it as an outfeed table. Yay for luck.

Still need to figure out a mitre station with dust collection; that will be harder.

I'm an idiot. Didn't bring a lunch to work, other than two apples. Was just going to go get a salad or something from the store, but I delayed and now have a meeting starting ten minutes. Why am I an idiot? Because I opened the taco food porn picture thread and now I feel like I could eat 20 tacos. :banghead:

Are you one of those people in which cilantro tastes like soap or do you prefer to stay within the traditional British seasonings of salt and water?
Cilantro is a weed that people thinks makes their meal fancy.
