Whered you ride?Rode with a friend this morning, two hours of Uber chunk, we're both toast. Not quite sure what to do with the rest of the day, yet.
Dark side of the Fells.Whered you ride?
So you bought a Yeti as predicted?Howdy all. I was at the White Ranch trailhead at 6:45 and down off the mountain by 9:35. Belcher, Saw Mill, Longhorn to the creek, then Whippletree to Belcher to the parking lot. I took my sweet time with the climb. Longhorn was fun but the top section wasn't worth it and the bottom section was kind of loose. Dropping in with too much speed near the creek was a good test of the Yeti.
Needs moar anti-squatCalled into work. Should wrap up the issue quickly. Would be done already if I hadn't eaten so many blue berries last night. Can't. Get. Off. Shitter.
That's a cool idea so many good bikes these days and normally tons of good deals in the fall winter. Going to be hard to decided.I think I'm going to rent through this summer and buy in the off season. I want to try as many bikes as possible. Pivot next time, maybe? So far it's been SC Bronson and Yeti SB5C.
Rent a Mach 6 not s Mach 4 I rode both the 4 climbed great did nothing else good I preferred the Bronson over the Mach 6 I have to drive 3 hours to rent a yeti might have to buy one based on all the other monkeys who like theirsI think I'm going to rent through this summer and buy in the off season. If you want a climber the SB6 is not the ticket but for a hack like me its loads of fun, my GT Sensor is probably the best climbing full squishy I've ever had, rode an Ibis Mojo which was also snappy. Today the Giggle Pig wins but I'll have to rest a lot. I've got all day so... Not a fan of climbing I'm 220 lbs it makes me very gravity friendly I was going to buy a Santa Cruz Bronson but all this yeti talk has me second guessing myselfDentist problems. I don't have the legs for

I thought your SC test bike was set up entirely too stiff, though you said your sag #s were correct.I liked the Bronson better. Yeti felt loose: not flexy but rather in bob. This is all from probably 2 hrs riding time (and 1 hr pushing time ) on each, though.
Good job Eric.100° out on the trail. Ran into a dad with two little kids, and two puppies. No water, dogs were in bad shape. Gave up most of the 100 oz of ice water in my camelback and got then back to their car and AC. We had to carry the dogs out. Gave dad a firm lecture on heat and survival after letting him know I am a retired firefighter.
That's the triple drop at Lynn Woods. Or is Lynn considered the "Dark side of the Fells"?Dark side of the Fells.
(not my picture)
I found that picture randomly. I guess you might be right, what we rode today was gnarlier than that. That's the triple drop at Lynn Woods. Or is Lynn considered the "Dark side of the Fells"?
That is quite possible that the SC was too stiff. The last few bikes in my bike stable over the years have been quite stiff in the rear, so that's what I know:I thought your SC test bike was set up entirely too stiff, though you said your sag #s were correct.
Oh yeah, there are a few chutes towards the bottom...Howdy all. I was at the White Ranch trailhead at 6:45 and down off the mountain by 9:35. I like the amount of bike content in here.
Rode the shit out of the Turner and it didn't fall apart, so that's a good thing. While my buddy was getting his park pass, I did a lap of the hill and got a damn 3 inch nail in my back tire. First flat in years. Changed that tube out and rode the rest of the day, often through CLOUDS of dust.
Today was my first serious day on the DH bike in at least year. The Turner felt stupid tiny at first and awkward, but by the end of the day it felt like home again. The dork logger says we did 22 miles of trail, sweet.
No riding pics today, because we were too busy riding. Lake Huron is off in the distance.
Ride on dudes, ride on.
