Fuckin (paid subscription) Weather app said a calm, mild and dry day in and around Edinburgh. Perfect! Except the reality was a commute with just enough drizzle to need a waterproof and an annoyingly sweat inducing strong head wind all the way in... only cut up 3 times by bell ends squeezing by at pinch points only for me to filter past them again while queuing at the next red light, then nearly sideswiped in the last 5 minutes by a yummy mummy looking for a parking space for her massive shiny no fucking indicators SUV and paying attention to fuck all else around her than ME ME ME ME!.
After a very long time away from it I fired up Gran Turismo 7 on the PS5 last night. Was rusty AF and using controller on an unfamiliar twisty alpine track so might as well have had a "little darlings on board" sign in the back window but there seems to be tons of updates and new stuff since I last played so I might dust off the steering wheel set-up this evening.

Bike ride yesterday was primo. They've got a killer set of trails here.

Today is a wash due to rain. 2-3" in the forecast ans I can already see the lake level rose overnight.

I am so good at finding reasons to skip a bike ride [smoke, work, afternoon rain, dog sitting]

I have to remember that this isn't the life G̶o̶d̶ Godzilla wants for me, and through dirt there is eternal salvation:

WFH day with plenty to do, but here I am wasting time talking to you people. It's raining but I went outside and ran 7 miles anyway, since the rain is only going to get harder. The weekend looks beautiful.

Went for a ride yesterday after work and the t-storm found us 30 minutes before forecast. It absolutely unleashed on us, inches of water on the roads as we fled the trails, thunder so loud it made you jump and just lightning flashes all around. I was grinning like an idiot in the sprint home in it, not sure about the wife :D

Hello all.
Have the time and energy for a nice ride today, but not the weather. I may do an indoor ride or go for a run or I dunno. I took two weeks to myself before starting my new job and I’m so damned busy with chauffering the kids around that it’s surprisingly busy.

Replace bicycle with backpack and you’re in my world. Only not much grinning while smashing toes on wet rocks.

Working in the city today.

Good thing I didn't pack my bike up for a ride tonight, as its dark and dumping rain.

Interesting drive in this morning. I was in the right lane and saw a white Corolla up ahead of me in the very left lane hit a puddle. This person jammed on their brakes and friggin' stopped in the left live lane. I looked in my rear view mirror and could see people having to swerve abound the car onto the shoulder and whatnot. Scary, that's how people die...

Anyways, coffee in hand. There is a revolution brewing here.

Thought I was gonna have to make a delivery to PDX today, but my saint of a wife is doing it instead. I hate PDX traffic and Friday is the worst.

Think I’ll ride my bike, mill up a couple of boards and maybe even do a little work for the day job…

I can't figure out if I am getting more impatient and intolerant or if the general population is getting dumber and more entitled.
It's *definitely* the former. The general population has been alarmingly dumb and entitled but is at least *consistently* dumb and entitiled over the years.

I can't confirm the first, but the latter is 100% true.
Nonsense. You just weren't paying much attention when you were younger. Or, which is possible, you were dumb and entitled yourself and have become self-aware. :D
