I am considering blackfridaying an Intense Sniper. Price and spec seem right, but I have no experience with Intense or the Sniper. Are they hot garbage? Alternative suggestions?

Mea culpa for mentioning bike shit in the chitchat section.

EDIT: Just made a thread with more deets about looking for a bike. Take a look if you're bored.

I worked on a couple of Intense bikes a few years back, a Tazer and a M-something IIRC. They were… fine. I personally object to the childish naming conventions, but .

You cannot compare the US-made to the China-made Intense bikes. So depending on when your experiences were made, this does not compare.
Regarding the Sniper: in the beginning it had some issues with frame/link stiffness, but later iterations seem to be sorted and reliable AFAIK. There was/is a thread on emptybeer that has a lot of info.

I don’t recall. What’s the difference? Do the Chinese ones have better tolerances? :D
Absolutely! They are made in a mold by child labor in a communistic country that polutes the environment like crazy and where everybody just eats rice. Enough stereotypes for you?

Turns out I ordered the wrong stove but the wife decided to keep it since they took the old one and the one she wanted wouldn't be available until Tuesday. But this one is pretty sweet, but I don't care for the whole no knobs thing.

Maybe I read it wrong, but I believe @Changleen is making the somewhat tounge-in-cheek argument that the Chinese ones are better made.
I know and probably they are (carbon mold). But it is soooo played out that aluminum Intense frames are not aligned well. Sure, there are some. But just judging by the number of them I own and have had in my hands, either I am the luckiest person in the World or this is not as common as he makes it seem to be.

Yea mine is just push the button for the setting. Oven controller is full touchscreen.
I haven't messed with the he oven yet, but I put a small amount of water with some salt and herbs to make a brine. I put it on 6 and it was warm almost instantly. I hit "boost" and almost immediately bubbles started to form and I swear it was boiling in under 30 seconds. I was impressed.

I have a 9 quart pot and colander for making pasta, when I fill it to ~8 qts it will hit full boil in under 9 minutes

Our old glass top electric would take days. And it was awful to clean because it was white. Still not sure how this top works out, but I like the look of the black top.
