No Festool, no care.
Just kidding, that looks wicked!

Rode bike, took photos.

The sound from these guys was used in loads of old scary movies and Indiana Jones.
If you do any trail building in the rain you normally have one as a temporary friend, they swoop in and eat the grubs you dig up.
Was hoping to get photos of this one swimming but I was too late with the camera.

Little gym time but strained my lower back a little too much because I was moving too fast and not paying attention to how I was lifting.

Heading home to the boys today after 4 weeks on my own. Will be so sweet to hang out with them for the next 4 weeks. Not looking forward to the long journey to Florida Wednesday but good to know we can just hang out at the pool in the sun and get over the jetlag.

Up early again.
Cold AF.
On a 6 hours sleep regimen for the past week.
I'll probably be crashing soon.

On the up side, I already baked a cardamom banana bread.

Heading out soon with the slowshoes to stomp some lines.

Good morning. Did some late night shopping for bike parts that were finally in stock again, yeah!

Sadly rainy weather again. I am getting desperate and contemplate setting up a bike on the rollers. :disgust1:

Doing work work ATM as I got a couple of "all this stuff needs to be finished before Christmas, have a nice weekend" e-mails on Friday. I seriously hate Christmas because of this mad dash to the finish line. Nobody will look at this shit before January 6-10th, so why can we not just work on it in the first week of January?

Does any of you fine people have any experience with the Wheeltop EDS stuff?

Hello.

Up at normal time. Milled up some mulberry, walnut and spalted maple. It’s small stuff but will be neat for little projects.

Now eating cookies left over from family thing and coffeeing.

Might grade the drive later since it’s raining and in the 40’s.

Morning Monkeys.

Lil Mans tournament wasn't as bad as expected. They started the first game 4-0 before getting blown out the first half 6-18. Managed to get it together at the end, but still lost 18-22, heart breaking. But they were fired up and came out game 2 and took it 32-14. There are 2 more games today, the wife doesn't think she wants to go, but I might. Little kid hoops isn't as painful as little kids soccer.

Might do some more planning on Frita. I was going to put a secondary fuse box on the dash, but I think I will put it on the driver's side frame rail. My runs for my backup camera and stereo are about the same length but it shortens my heater runs from 12 feet down to 3 which makes it WAY easier to wire up and allows me to keep the 600W heating element if I need that much.

Proper word here is regimen. Regiment is like a group of troops
Mmmmmm chocolate from Uranus is the best. Hopefully it’s nutty
You don’t prefer the corn kernel laden variety? Hmm, different strokes, I guess

/me is heading back to Denver in a bit after morning snuggles with the two children of mine that are present. Wife and kid had concerts and the latter had a tae kwon do belt test so they did not come out for skiing goodness

Been cursing of two radiators that for some reason will not start pulling in warm water. There is normal pressure in the system. I have taken a lot of water out of one of them and then filling more in the system in the other end but still nothing but cold water coming through. Since the house is sold I really have no wish to spend to much time or money on this.

My Airbnb host wanted to sell some stuff at a community garage sale and said she'd drop me off on route at Magazine Beach which is by the airport (no buses)

My first beach that was like what I consider a traditional Caribbean beach -- white sand and the reef just 5 yards off shore.

Was rainy when I arrived but sun came out eventually.

I didn't notice the current outbound but had to actually use my arms to make it back to the Sandals resort (just around the bend) where I saw they had red flags up re: current and stormy weather.

Then an hour walk to the garage sale which coincidentally was being held at the brewpub...

It was nice to taste high gravity beer after living on lager for the last week, but the sleeper hit was the grapefruit IPA.

I'm not one for a fruity beers, but anything to avoid scurvy I suppose ;)

I volunteered to help my host put up her Xmas lights tonight.

here. functional. me and the 14yo cut uncoupling membrane to fit, mixed quickset, and installed. will lay out tiles later and see how much cutting i'll need to do.

going to yoga/stretch class w/teh wife in a few...then a walk with the fam at an outdoor lights installation in the woods...then eating an hors d'oeuvres smorgasbord from our freezer for dinner to help clear it out.

looked at my calendar for next week. it is mercifully mostly empty.
