hey @Pesqueeb how's pittsburgh?
Cold, and so far the food is rather disappointing. Nothing bad, but nothing good either. Going to try my luck at a brewery tonight, I think. I actually kind of like the town, feels like every little valley is its own small town. All the rolling hills make driving very Mario-kart like. Training is going well, vastly superior to anything I ever got at the airline, with maybe one possible exception. Which is just yet another layer of "fuck that place" and further cause for concern about the state of commercial aviation in general.

accurate.

cinderlands brewing (strip district) is worth a visit if you feel like venturing there.

there is a spanish / tapas place called Morcilla that cures their own meats and is *excellent*

there's a really good oyster bar too, but I went to look it up and it apparently closed up shop in November

Here at the used car dealer. Ostensible offer price from CarGurus from this very place was $21.7k. Honestly I’ll take anything $20k or higher, as having this take up my time is worth something. Even 19 maybe.

I should get them to pay for my ride home at least though :D

They offered $20k. And I’m taking that, with them indeed paying for my Lyft or Uber home. Paperwork cooking now.

Hey all you cool cats and kittens,

Late start today, agenda is as follows

  1. Weld out the UTV rack for the Ford
  2. Source a 6-8" lathe chuck to make a wheel polishing stand
  3. Dismount the tires on the pitted Alum wheels for the CJ
  4. Pick up the rear differential parts for the Gladiator
  5. Mount the 6k# winch on the CanAm Maverick R
I doubt I will get any one of those fully accomplished today, but Thug life ain't easy

I have a coworker who is infamous for neither accomplishing anything nor committing to anything. My manager has attempted to solve the problem by making me in charge of his projects. After days of him dodging my requests for a schedule and my manger getting angry at me for a lack of results I sent the following message.

"Please provide a timeline by the end of the day or I will select one arbitrarily"

Got an answer in 5 minutes.

I remain unconvinced.

Pretty sure I can get more vert going to my current mailbox than I can on any hill within 30 miles of where I'm going...

Better than a divorce

(not sure if I believe that but have never met your spousal unit)

But if you are going to do it, do it with a smile on your face. You can always whinge here.

Sleep mission successful, and even managed to get up by 9:00.
Currently so bored at DFW, I am learning all about training your face to not scowl/RBF all of the time.
It‘s actually a thing, called ‘Face Yoga’.

Who knew?

Try to guess where people are flying by their appearances, usually good for a chuckle.

I do loves me some people watching. When I am in a specific mood, sometimes I’ll entertain myself by creating short narratives out of what I imagine their lives are like.
I wish I were talented enough with this to be a decent song-writer, but I’m really not.
No one wants to hear an average old (not famous) guy play ‘His own songs’ , lol.
Realizing that freed me from worrying about being a great guitar player. I’ll just play for me, and enjoy myself. :brows: :brows: :brows: :rockout:

Going to Costco was hellish. Not Michigan hellish, but still. Anything to please the lady.

Snowshoed and rode the fatbike, so the day was not totally wasted.
