DSO barged in the bedroom door at 4 something, didn't sleep after that. Attempted a workout on the indoor hamster wheel and gave up after 30 minutes, too tired. FML.

Absolute dog shit sleep last night. "Sleep".

Wheel(s) still filled with snow and vibrating.

Ice Berg's stuck to the wheel wells on my car are rock solid and grinding on the ground over every bump. Does not sound or feel good.

I'm up.
Another cold morning.
I shall clear the shed and wood shed roofs.
Might slow ski later.
Forewarning; MOAR MOARRRRRR

Cutoff the bottom but you get the idea.

holy shit, what a whirldwind of a weekend. this "snow event" feels like it's lasted a bazillion years. First big snow started on Wednesday night. Kids' schools were closed on thursday so I drove them to the ski hill for some lift assisted runs. then to their nordic ski practice where they played in the fresh deep snow. next snowfall started on Saturday night. I brought them to practice on Saturday, then drove 200km to my in-laws for multiple birthday celebrations, roads were ok. woke up at 5:30 am on Sunday to drive through the blizzard to a small ski hill where we'd booked ski-in ski-out hotel room. skiied our faces off Sunday and Monday. Both boys are progressing amazingly well. Oldest is hitting glades, moguls and is seeking out mini cliff hucks. Youngest is comfortable in the glades. My poor wife thought skiing would be a good family activity we can do together, but didn't appreciate deep snow... she felt pretty left out since we all wanted to hit glade runs. 70 kph winds and -25°C temps didn't help make it easier...

today she finds out if she's one of the 3,300 people whose positions are being cut at her work. (I think she's fine since she works in the shop that designs the policies for accepting or refusing asylum seekers... and we know there's going to be lots of those thanks to you-know-who...) Not a great way to start the week.

Heated shop would take care of your problems
With a catch pad under the car to catch the melt.

Can't remember what brand ours is. The company is out of GJ if I recall correctly.

edit:

They have woopay listed as a payment option, sounds like a scam.

Morning Monkeys.

Slept like shit last night with a pinched nerve in my right ass cheek. Tried to go pee and couldn't walk. Seems I've developed sciatica in my right leg now. I had it in the left leg until I flipped my Vette. I don't have a Vette to flip this time. FML

present. busy-ness. more updates later.
long weekend. kids had off friday through today. i took fri off, took the kids to my parents to visit for the weekend. wife stayed home as she had no days off, but was just as happy to have some peace and quiet. my giveafuckometer is running out of gas for my current job, but i have a few things to wrap up still. the long weekend gave me a chance to catch up on sleep at least.

hella windy on sunday apparently. blew my smoker over. a few small dents but otherwise seems unharmed.
