First and maybe last snow of the season. It's cute but I will delay my commute to avoid the multiple dumbasses out on the road.

Woke up wicked early, (430), so I utilized the bonus time to do a workout. Liking having a plan to see if I can do more better at cycling this year.

8-10 inches of snow, and still coming down.
Broke out the snaüblower.

Methinks I'll go into the woods on the Hok skis.

ahhh espresso. got in 8 hours of sleep WOOT. Surprisingly I am not sore after yesterdays 30 mile ride, I'll tke that. No riding today as I won't be home until after 6pm and I have to get up at 2am for the Friday shift.

On the good news front it appears that they decided that Ruth is essential and was not part of the rif but to save money all non MFG employees will work from home. She liked that .

My doc called me fat… on the inside. He told me I need to go on a low fat diet and retest my cholesterol in six months. I’m over my target and trending towards medication. The outrage of a few friends is pretty funny, as they think my diet is already exceptionally lean.

Anyone here have any success or disasters with flax seed oil? The doc suggested that to help my numbers.
Doc - Eat low fat food.
Also Doc - Guzzle this oil.
Me - Isn’t oil high fat?
Doc - Guzzle it!

Diet might change your LDL-C numbers 5%. Rosuvastatin will drop it 50%+.

/me is waiting for them to call me back to get IV iron. Will do this twice (the other some weeks from now) and then this should hopefully eliminate my still unexplained iron deficiency anemia

I once took flax seed oil supplements as it was supposed to help with the psoriasis I was dealing with at the time.

Let's just say my body did not absorb it. So if you like well lubricated shits and leaving an oil sheen in the bowl, go for it

Morning Monkeys.

I called Omron (makers of whack ass blood pressure cuff) and said WTF. She asked if I could take a reading now and I said in a minute. I was in the shed and the machine is in my office upstairs. I said "it might be a little high because I have to go upstairs." So I slip the cuff on, 193/109

But seriously, look at the history and none of my readings were bellow 130 and I've never tested above 122 in the docs office. So they are sending me a new one, I can't wait to try it!

This is my expectation. Online preliminary reading says it’ll either give you the runs or bind you up. Constirrhea sounds epic.

Dude, take the reading before hitting the shed. Cannabis speeds up your heart rate.

I’m at 173. He said statins if I hit 190. Goal is under 130. Sounds like diet could keep me in limbo between 130/190.
If I were you I’d just go on 5 mg rosuvastatin (it’s the most effective of the various statins) and call it a day. Except for some people with genetic variants that make them dietary hyperabsorbers diet really is a tiny effect compared to the action or inaction of LDL receptors on the liver.

When I took this with me to the doctors office, the nurse got me at 118/72 and when we tried the machine it was 156/88. Not sure what their inspection consist of, but it wasn't reading accuracy.

Or I could just eat like @Banshee_Rider@73 and get off this stupid rock a little ahead of schedule.

With my luck l’d probably just have a stroke that would paralyze my functioning half and go back to needing full time care and feeding tubes.

Anniversary today, so I shall go out for dinner with the wife while her parents watch The Child. After looking at all the fancy places around, she chose Olive Garden instead. The allure of bottomless salad, breadsticks, and creamy pasta was too much to resist.

Just gotta get through this workday first.

My retirement plan is to simultaneously develop extraordinary fitness and catastrophically high cholesterol. That way I can wander far enough into the backcountry to have a massive heart attack with zero hope of rescue. I have to admit that it’s a very demanding balance to achieve but I shall persevere.

I've warned my wife that my plan is to Thelma and Louise us off a high cliff.
