Pics man, we need’em.Keystone is a weird town, that is all for now
We don't actually consider Keystone a town 'round here...Keystone is a weird town, that is all for now

Thus far it seems Vail, Breck, Keystone, Steamboat, and Copper are all junk towns filled with fake peeps with serious mental illnesses. We don't actually consider Keystone a town 'round here...

The same can be said for Tahoe actuallysee? told ya so
we call them 'texans'
I blame the locals. They keep coming back because locals refuse to stop feeding them. And by locals I mean distant investors who own all the businesses.
You should try Aspen - that's one town that hasn't lost its character.
duhThe same can be said for Tahoe actually
Of this list, Steamboat and Breck are the closest to real towns. And even then, Breck is more Frisco and Silverthorne for mtn towns. Copper and Keystone are straight up resorts; not towns. Thus far it seems Vail, Breck, Keystone, Steamboat, and Copper are all junk towns filled with fake peeps with serious mental illnesses.
You're off on Crusty Butt and Telluride... not sure about Durango.Of this list, Steamboat and Breck are the closest to real towns. And even then, Breck is more Frisco and Silverthorne for mtn towns. Copper and Keystone are straight up resorts; not towns.
Try Crested Butte, Durango, or Telluride for old mountain towns. They've made the pitch to rich, but haven't gone resort town yet.
I haven't been since before COVID, so...You're off on Crusty Butt and Telluride... not sure about Durango.
Stop by @profro he knows some good trails. Windrock is good stuff.
I will say
I have been enjoying the hysterical weeping and lamentations of the entitled stupidy at Burning Man this year, just a shame there isn't some sort of way for those poor folks to get predictions on rain levels and weather events before paying large sums of money while entering a low dry lake basin made of mud.
This is a done. A short 8 miles/90 minutes while getting swamped by gnats the entire ride, wtf. Three MTB days in a row...that's gotta be some sort of record. Will MTB today, probably, but haven't got a plan in place yet.
