A lot on my plate this week. I need a break. Going to dinner at an American friend and his family together with my boys tonight and then party all Saturday with my highschool friends Saturday and am am sure doing nothing Sunday.

Super happy I picked up my bike yesterday. Now I just need to find some new tires as the current Trek XR4 are two seasons old. Maybe I will try them again. Also looking at Maxxis Forecaster V2. I am going more for grip than rolling resistance as I am too fast for my normal riding buddy.

DHF front, whatever rolls fast and gets enough grip for the rear wheel (Ardent, Nobby Nic) is IMO the magic ticket for DK. Too many sanitized trails, so this most of the times also works in the winter. If not, 2x DHR or DHR front and someting with more grip out back.

What version of the DHR? There are so many acronyms in their line.

Not all versions are available in 26", so I usually go 2.3 Exo TR Dual or 2.5 Exo TR Super Tacky, rarely a 26" in DD Super Tacky is available (not officially listed, but they exist). Dual is good for most of the year, Super Tacky helps when you ride wet roots.

Phone says 17F outside here in Knoxville. FTS.

Also, my new soon is waiting for me back home where it’s supposed to be 45F and sunny today.
It's been 50 and sunny all week at home. It's been grey sky and snow showers all week where I am :/

Morning Monkeys.

Moose Lodge breakfast on my day off because I always get asked if I'm going (by people who usually aren't for some reason). It's cold, but has been dry all week. Of course that stops tomorrow because you can't have nice weather on a Portland weekend.

As the old joke goes, "What do you call back to back rainy days in Portland? The weekend." :rimshot:

Hi ppls

PV going back on the roof today, assuming they have their shit together and acquired the four replacement panels. edit: they're putting the four broken panels back up (with the 46 or whatever other intact ones) and will swap them out at a future date because they didn't have their timing right

to accommodate for this I have elected to read my ultrasound cases from home

up to mountains tonight. Season begins for the kids tomorrow.
