Rain, meh....

Changed guitar strings last night, coastal humidity wreaks havoc on phosphor bronze strings

When I had grass in central Oregon I used the iMow from Stihl, completely autonomous and made the grass look like a golf course. had its own docking station and mowed on its own schedule at a random pattern to not leave any lines. Not cheap, but was nice to not have to physically mow and looked better than what I could do
I have one too from Husqvarna its brilliant. No noise and no work.

Afternoon MowMonkeys!

I mowed yesterday while it was sunny, today is the shits. The wife got all crazy and figured out if we pay $300 more on the house each month, it will be paid off when I hit 65. If for some god awful reason we are still living here. So now she's hell bent on making that happen, which I support because it means less Amazon packages.

My neighbor mows and acre or two and has one of those. He got it for $2500 on an old gold course auction
Among the items I'm watching but haven’t bid on at Roller Auction in the north side of town:

Just got home from Grand Junction. The day got wild with mechanical issues. With her battery charged, I couldn't get the kart to start to warm up the engine. Team owner looked at it for 15sec, tore off the carb, ran to the trailer to fix it (@jebfour float needle seal), and reinstalled it. Once we got her onto the grid, when she went to fire it up, it wouldn't start. I yelled to one of the mechanics to get Greg, who came sprinting to the grid, at full speed tried to start it, then pulled off the carb, fixed it again (replaced the floats), and got it fired up in the 3min the race director gave us.

She finished third of three (tiny class this weekend). But continually dropped her fastest lap times all weekend during the race - and we know there is something wrong with the motor. She did get her first team podium photo though.

Fuckin' CARBURETORS?!?
Right? It would have taken me a week plus to figure out what was wrong. I just pulled the video because Haley wanted to show Wifey the on-grid repair and the start. 3min from the first yell to get Greg to him having a kart running.

Bwahaha. Electronic controlled fuel? A catalytic converter? No fucking way. One of the tech inspections had us drill out the factory rivets holding #18 to #16 to measure the length of the exhaust silencer and the thickness of the sound matting. Another had them measuring the length of internal pieces in the carb (and thinking about it, that's probably where it got all fucked up). There is no way that you could tech that stuff at a local level.
