So if you are taking about just the skiing at Beaver Creek, the place seems to cater to beginners. Lots and lots of green trails. It's not my cup of tea, but if I was a noob, I'd have absolutely loved it there. The entire McCoy Park beginner area would be a great place for a beginner. We took a bunch of runs off the Birds of Prey and Grouse Mountain lifts and those trails were fun. The first day, the Super G course was bumped, and the second day it was groomed. I preferred it bumped even though I suck at bumps, but I liked trying it both ways. Needless to say, a lot more traffic on it the second time.

Bathurst 12hr race is looking pretty full on, four cars out in the first 2.5hrs.

hiked 8 miles with weight (chainsaw) on my back. felt like @AngryMetalsmith cleared a shit ton of trees and debris from one of my favorite trails in the other pisgah: yellowbuck. le tired.

Provisional results 21/25. She started 20, was pushed down to 23 on lap 2, worked back up to 19, sat at 20 for most of the race, then got passed in the last corner on the last lap to get pushed down to 21. The best on-track racing she's ever done to-date.

Yard work day and it was almost 50 degrees. Friends who rode the trails said they were minty dry and almost dusty. Damn it, damn it all. I ended up breaking out the weed burner and burning grass for hours.
