In a van.... down by the river
Hot again. Train to Rome. Kids are getting grumpy...may have to resort to pushups.

Hot weather makes for nice people watching, though. :brows:

Holy shit... there is a 3m old baby sitting next to me on the train. Aaaaand it's crying and we haven't even left the station.

I'm gonna need a shitload of wine to get through this one.

The bunker at parliament
Went climbing after work today, had a good climb but felt a bit too jaded to get really stuck into it.
But then I came home to a super happy whare tonight!
My amazing flatmate just found out shes a finalist in this years Pikihuia Awards for Māori Writers in the "published writers" category (the hardest one to win)!
So stoked for Kim!!!!!!

survived the dentist
first time I had a hygienist use the ultrasonic cleaning tool, hit one of my back molars, and it turned one of my ears off

Nice! We'll be back in fall when hopefully more is open in CB so we're only spending a week in that area now.
Hartman is fun, 3ft of snow at the top of Scofield Pass will take a while before the high country is gtg.

edit: down to 29" of snow at the Pass

More Cordon Bleu, bacon, and eggs for breakfast. Meetings all day.

Planned the trip to Florida for the funeral; it's expensive. Apparently no airlines do bereavement discounts anymore. Wifey and I will be flying out, so we are flying her mom out here to watch the girls. One more occurance where if she were here, as she should have been almost 2 years ago in her un-rented condo, we would not be dropping an additional $700 to get her here. Funny how being sad about one relative can make you semi-angry about another.
