Had a fun day with my highschool friends. I managed not to drink too much and spice up the day with some gummies. Booked a ticket to Bangkok to go there for two weeks in February.

7/5 on the title, very nice

headed back to Denver today. Blocked the house off for three weeks in a row so don’t need to pack up at least.

Woke at 3 something.
Suboptimal.

Would like to go for a long bike ride, but have zero idea on trail or road conditions.

While the women folk sleep, I have cleared the snow and fetched supplies.

Today will be spent recovering from last night's festivities and addressing the to-do list.

gotta get the sacrificial tree today. and work on bathroom floor a bit. then probably yoga class at the y with teh wife and dinner with friends later. my time on two wheels has been atrocious lately due to work/family schedules...don't see that changing until after new years, unfortunately. ah well.

Morning Monkeys.

Final F1 race of the season and it should be a good one. Running around with the wife driving and carrying stuff as that's my job.

So the second bike that I ordered (not knowing a replacement bike was en route) was returned and was supposed to be delivered on Thursday. FedEx says "someone" requested a delayed delivery but never specified when so they have just been holding on to it until they are told. I told them to deliver it ASAP, so we will see how that goes. It's $180 I wouldn't mind having back actually.

Micro-dog has crawled into bed and is power cuddling, thus making getting out of bed unlikely anytime soon.

Yesterday's circuit around the open space was so great I might do it again, especially given that tomorrow is forecast to be quite crappy.

Should probably sneak onto the neighbors property and liberate a tree to hang some lights on.

Also need to do laundry and pack for germtube ride to Kokomo tomorrow. Should be my last trip of the year. PTFSM.

Got some good arguments why I should buy and not rent. I am still trying to find a house I like enough to buy and that I can afford. Still have town houses highest on the list.

Are you going to get there fast, then take it slow?

After ~ 30 hours of travel, including an overnight at MIA, hello Grenada.

Wellington was living up to it’s reputation yesterday, we had several hours of strong and violently gusty winds. A boat (moderately fancy double decker motor cruiser) broke its moorings (in a sheltered marina) and a few hours later ended up on the rocks in Evans bay. It got *smeared*.

What's the special occasion
It's my "I'm not ready for winter" snorkeling trip.

First time on THIS island, but I've been to much of the Caribbean in previous adventures.

Seems like there's pretty good bus infrastructure so excited to check out a bunch of beaches/reefs for the next two weeks....

Yeah I haven't scuba-ed since BK (before kids) and I now I prefer the simplicity (and price point) of leaving a cooler and book on the beach and snorkeling for a bit, day drinking, snorkeling and day drinking.

Last year in Costa Rica I got 23ish days in (out of 28 on the ground...)

But I hear you, I should eventually bite the bullet and get recertified, but I'm fairly broke and that shit* costs /////$$$$$.

Montunky is high elevation cold lake scuba, and ain't nobody got time for that.

But I did buy a 3/2 wetsuit for body surfing in Cali, and would like to scuba the Catalina / kelp forest some day.
