You can totally fit a tube and pump in the Lab Austere one, if you have a small enough pump. I've got a Lezyne that works.

Yeah, I picked up an Evoc on eBay for not very much money... it's been pretty righteous. I do like the L.A. one as well... it's way more comfortable actually. Just need to outfit it with the right tools/gear. Lots of rocks around here, I don't like riding without a minipump. I suppose I could chuck a CO2 thingy in there...

Took the dog outside last night before bed for a lap of the driveway.

I hear a mountain lion screaming a couple of times, dog decides it just wants to sit in the middle of the driveway listening.

Even with all our outside lights on it's still dark at the end of our driveway, I tell the dog FTS and politely request she joins me back inside where I won't get eaten by mountain lion.

News this morning announces that a hiking trail near us was closed yesterday because of mountain lions fighting and one dead kitty...

It's also one of the reasons it crawls right up my ass anytime a f***king hiker or trail runner complains about "fairness" WRT the .9 miles of trail in White Ranch that were recently designated bike-only.

I mean... it's not new. Got it shortly after @HAB visited last year, based on his recommendation. Oh wait... I also have a newer fanny pack from Lab Austere that I've taken on a few rides and it's awesome, but I don't use it that often due to not having gotten around the strapping a tube/pump combo to my frame somewhere. That's the only thing with that one, it's not quite big enough to hold a tube and mini-pump. Or maybe it is and I have haven't spent the time to figure it out? Who even knows. Whatever. Fanny packs rule for shorter local rides.

I had looked at various fanny packs for local rides but since I started hiking 3-6 hours with 25 lbs on my back my Osprey Raptor 14 feels like I'm only wearing a tank top.

And now that I have a compact water filtration system I will no longer need to haul 3L of water up an hour long climb to start an all day Pisgah epic. The "land of waterfalls" has plenty of water sources.

Specificly looking for a blind bearing puller that doesn't suck. Is there anything out there that doesn't use impact? I'd think in the day of mega expensive carbon frames someone would have figured out a way to get bearings out of your bike without hitting stuff.

I bought a generic one from ebay several years ago which is the same as most of the "bike" ones but without the bike tax.

We just see it as being more orange/yellow as the shorter wavelengths of light (blue/violet) have a larger refraction index. The shorter wavelengths are refracted away from your eyes, so when you look directly upon the sun more of the red/yellow photons make their way to your retinas.
