Have all my crap packed for tonight's group ride. But if my headlamp keeps acting up (figured out its the wire going into the 90 degree connector part, not the plug itself), I'm just going to hike. Not much is worse than riding over roots and suddenly the light flicks off and you're in total blackness, which happened last week.
There's an electronics engineer guy here who is good with this stuff, but not sure if its worth bothering to fix or just buying a new battery. Sucks that the battery is probably over $100 pesos.
Check out the Light and Motion Seca series. Been using them for several years, and have never had one of their connectors fail. Cannot say that for other brands.
