It has been muddy as fuck this whole year, only a few cold days for frozen ground. Looks like we have some clear weather coming but with light frost at night this stuff will take forever to dry out. I may take the opportunity to dig, but right now if I am not riding I have cars and homes to work on.We're really getting into fragile soil weather. Not sure what the riding situation is going to be. Looks like sugar weather for the next week or so.
Substitute cake for cupcake and I see you like this:'Morning. I brought in a coffee cake for the department because I'm a nice boss. Also, I wanted coffee cake and I can't eat the whole thing myself. I mean I can, but I shouldn't.
2500 yard swim this morning.
Solution: piihbWife came home drunk and kept waking my up until 1.30am
Your corporate structure sounds incredibly complicated.Just had a long conversation with my manager about hiring one of my old teammates. He'd have to move from KC, so it would be a big move for him with a flat pay change, but with a serious career path change. Having two of us from the sales team would be enough to get management to open a pilot program for a new business line, which I would most likely be running. It was what was discussed last week, but bringing him on would make it happen.
We also ran the numbers on my comp and even with a "lower paying" job, I will probably make more this year than last. Also, technically got a promotion three rungs up the chain. Where I was topped out before, my base opportunity is quite a bit higher than before. Really cool that the ideas I am proposing to my boss are being actively looked into and promoted with senior management, to realistically happening in the near term.
Best "step down" job I've ever taken.
Work. Rasin Bran and coffee for breakfast - waiting for the great shift.
I hope someone brings me a doughnut todayMorning, still have a migraine from last night but at least I am functional. I really hate when those around me who have never suffered a true migraine always say..."Well if you hydrated better it will pass". God if only that was all it took.
Anyways, off to buy goodies for the department today. Still fun having my own budget
Key word.Your corporate structure sounds incredibly complicated.
rent this to ski into next winter...What up monkeys? Short day for me. I'm heading out with a big group to ski in to a cabin at Elk Lake for the weekend. PAR-T!
My friends just got back from there. It's hard to book but I'd do it in a heart beat! It's not very far from Bend.
this.Good morning. Coffee is good.
most lookouts you have to plan out 6 months in advance to rent them....My friends just got back from there. It's hard to book but I'd do it in a heart beat! It's not very far from Bend.

Well the coffee and Rasin Bran I had for breakfast is doing its part for change...It's probably the coffee.

For me meeting personal physical challenges has been a nice counter balance to career demands and helped keep my head in a good place work wise. Maybe climbing your mountains this summer will help you become more focused and what really matters to you, plus you will not have the weight of competition or evaluation on your back.Just been thinking about all this new stuff going on with work and life, etc. It's funny sometimes how little it takes to shake up your life and either put you back onto path or change the one you're on. During the matter of probably 3-4 hours talking and sitting around a table with friends who all have PhDs, MDs, JDs, are hedge fund managers, CTO at a startup, congressional atty, etc I was effectively given a swift kick in the ass to not settle with where life had taken me.
Now I'm focusing on losing weight and getting healthy, starting the work for my CRPC and CFP, tell my boss that I want to do more and actually getting a career path in place, etc. I feel more invigorated in life and what I can do than I have in years. I just find it funny that it didn't take that much, realistically to change course. Go figure. Either that or the coffee I've started drinking again.
Cogratulations... the unknown could turn out to be an awesome adventure. ALSO: surprised your resignation isn't already written, bonus points if your notice is 2 sentences or less, why waste anymore effort on a situation you hate? Background check cleared. Resignation letter in the works.
Drawback is my boss will not be the guy I know who busted his ass to get me in. Not sure how I feel about that.
Edit: I know how I feel about that, it sucks. Will be working for an unknown entity vs someone who I know and trust.
