Are you okay?I have been informed that today is our annual trip to Ikea.
I’m not convinced that I am not actually a bear. Hibernation sounds perfect. Eat excessively, gain weight and sleep most of the day.
Work just asked me if I could stay here until Tuesday.
Flat out told them no thanks. I can come back, I'm not staying for an additional unplanned 4 days.
Also, the contractor up and left this morning before I could meet them, which is the entire reason that I'm here. wtf.
So cancelled the hotel in Detroit tomorrow night - will drive straight home in the morning, stopping in Dayton for the air museum.

The funny thing is that riders here are so used to the bell sound that it's what works. Anything else just confuses them or they don't associate it with a bike. I have a Orp Light and Horn that is very loud but useless in Denmark.
Ended up crossing paths with a homie @ a Bellevue taco wagon. We decided to 'talk trade' and turned it into an 'afternoon meeting' which cut into my pedal plan for the afternoon. I still had time for a GR lollipop but no multiple hour Duthie tour.
Fires got close but not too close last night. Lots of concerned folks reaching out. Fortunately, I was a few miles from the evacuation zone, and the power, internet, and water kept working. Gonna WFH and complain, as usual.

I think the most we ever had was 3-4 feet, It used to snow several times, now it seldomly does . 2021 was the last time that we got a decent amount of snow.

We tend to have two types of weather, winds from the west which brings warmish wet air, or the north which brings cold dry air. We now have a rare front from the east bringing dry not cold air.
It is the 50 degree wet days that are harbingers in the PNW.
