I actually prefer the flat profile of the Park cause you can easily tuck it between the spokes and hold the bead in at one end while you work on the other with both hands. So there. The same reason for the little hook feature on the regular plastic pedro's levers.

Yeah, but Pedro's DH lever is perfect for removing fork seals.

Cool. I prefer breaking tire levers to cracking crabon rims with steel.
Pedros plastic levers for everything actually involving mounting/removing a tyre. I don't remember the last time I used the metal one on a tyre.

How is someone supposed to express themselves as outdoorsy and adventurous with out a box permanently attached to their Subaru. I hope it has appropriately branded stickers on it.
I have a buddy that has a Hyundai, who I have never seen remove the box.

Maybe its corroded on there permanently?

Or maybe he used it those three times and invested enough in stickers that he can't justify removing it.

As for the car wash thing. Just don't?

Maybe he installed it with gorilla tape and can't remove the residue

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Here. Holy fuck am I sore this morning. Core and back are reminding me that skiing isn't just a leg workout.

Errands throughout today with the girls.

Need to pick up a water-powered scrub brush so I can use it in conjunction with my power washer. The Subaru has a box, so I have to wash it at power washer self-service car wash. No point in not just washing it at home and not paying $20 every week to wash it. And then, time to wash a car in 40* outside temp. Fun.
My new car comes with free car washes for 3 years! I have used the service once a week so far but I don't have a roof rack or box (yet = I REALLY miss my Thule sponsorship discounts through LUNA).

What are the laws there regarding firearms and ammunition?
If I do not have a permit for the firearm it's illegal to have the ammunition. Its not difficult to get a license for hunting firearm like rifles and shotguns but anything else I only know there are a few shooting clubs where you can use handguns. Criminals do seem to be good at getting handguns illegally and thankfully exclusively use them to shoot each other.

Btw police did not give me any trouble with the amo and it was easy for them to see it was old so no jail time :-)

Interesting. I had a crapload of the east block stuff with the nasty primers - didn't know how to dispose of, asked Vergennes police chief, he didn't want to take it, finally built a brush pile over it and lit the pile.

I had actually taken it to the recycling center first as naive me had thought they would take it but they told me it was a police job. I was then pleasantly surprised they would come by and pick it up on a Sunday. It's good to live in a socialist country.

speaking of roof racks, old thule mounts from ca. 1995 fit on the new car just fine ftw. not super low profile or super aero, but also not $450 for a new system.
Good to know...I don't think my old Thule mounts (from the CX9 with factory side rails) will fit the CRV (naked roof). Might be worth having the factory rails added though

yeah, these were the ones with the footings that have the clamps that hook in above each door...but maybe the factory crossbars would be cheaper than big brand ones?
