I cant get over how ugly that thing is, its not so much that it is a pretty unexciting design but the fact that they have just made it look like ass. Who knows, maybe it will ride awesome but for now its a big thumbs down.

I give Haro props for getting away from Intense 4-bars and makingtheir own simle less expensive single pivots. I think the new bike looks alright and judging by the fact that it is a simple design, it should work alright too. I bet the price is good to boot.

Stop wanking! There is nothing "wrong" with a bike just because it is a single pivot and that's already been done...

[EDIT]
Went back and reread the specs, lemme see....

Adjustable travel/Geometry...CHECK

Optional Floating Brake...CHECK

Killer Price...CHECK

Killer Spec...CHECK

Should I keep going?

This bike isn't going to win the world cup but are any of us going to either???

Why ?? Whats wrong with the best design in the business, except the $$$ to specialized ?
What's wrong with it is paying speccy and paying Intense and then trying to pass that on to consumers. There is no good way to keep the price reasonable and no one will buy it when they could just get the "real thing". The new bikes allow them to target a slightly different audience and keep prices lower.

If you want an S or an Intense buy one, not a Haro rebadge...

So in other words put out an inferior old bike instead of a quality design. They should bite the "bullit" and offer a rebadged frame instead of a copied one. If this is the best they can do.

I wasn't ranking. Just poking fun.

But, does anybody know how many Haro M1's have been sold since the first year they were out? I think that the $ to Intense argument lacks validity. Intense initially agreed to supply frames to Haro so that Intense could finance a new manufacturing facility. That was back around 2000. I can't remember seeing any newer Haro M1's. Other than factory team Haro bikes, I can't remember ever seeing one with a 5e/Swinger.

But yeah, doo for Haro. I like all the angle adjustability without altering shock travel.

sweet, another single-pivot.

Although I agree with some points that punkassean makes there are better linkage designs for the money, especially the 05 Norco's. I'm not a fan of Norco but they're near the price of one of those Haro but have adjustable travel, horst-link and wicked part spec and geo

I actually think it looks pretty sweet. Not where I'd put the pivot, but for folks who like Oranges, it should be spot on. Price is right, geometry looks good, and the lay-back post has it's benefits. Drop the seat on the size small, and you'll have unbelievable clearance if you can keep your grundle off the tire.

I can't believe how many people are claiming this is another Super-8. Different geometry, WAY different tubing, different shock (longer stroke!), floating brake... uh, different bike. I hear Gracia and Peat bitch about their single-pivots all the time...

Don't knock it until you try it.

$1500 retail + add the floating brake cost.

I do not think anyone is saying its a bad design just its not what was expected and is hard to get excited about.

i love it how some people get wicked excited about single pivots but they will crap all over another.
Is that a reference to my conflicting posts here and in the Yeti thread?

I'm not crapping on the Yeti. People asked for a guess as to what it did... I have some expertise there so I posted a guess. Just because I felt that it wasn't as huge a leap as it would visually suggest, doesn't mean I don't think Yeti's are good bikes.
