There is a new line of forks coming out from Manitou called the Stance. The forks will be cheaper than the Sherman line, and will feature TPC damping, so this line will alter the Sherman lineup for sure. I dont know anything about the 05 slider, but there will be a Stance fork called the Kingpin that appears to be a Slider but with TPC damping. For 05, there is also supposed to be an update of SPV, which should be nice.
I really like the idea of the Stance forks, great chassis, great damping... who needs SPV on the front end, especially with people commenting on the "unusual" feel it gives.

I think it's more accurate to say that an SPV fork has a different feel rather than unusual. There are benefits beyond the whole pedal bob issue. One benefit that I am liking with my SPV Breakout is that the low frequency filtering keeps the fork from diving while braking (a nice feature on steep terrain). The greater adjustability in progreessiveness over TPC+ is also nice.
Manitou says no, but I know of one person who owns '03 and '04 Breakouts and has swapped the internals between the two with zero problems. But there are supposedly some differences in the lowers.
Just wondering whats your guys opinion on the 04 Slider? Ive never tried them and a buddy of mine just ordered one. Were waiting for them to come in. Hes putting them on his Bullit. Any info would be great!
