I am building up a Giant ATX hardtail XC bike. l want to build it as a 1 x 9 set up and l want to use the e 13 xcx guide.
Now the question is the crank and chainring set up, l have been looking at the "raceface ride xc singlespeed" crankset. Will it be compatable with the e 13 xcx guide? If not could somebody please point me in the right direction as to what will be compatable, as l dont want to buy a tripple ring set up and a single chain ring as well.

Hi Andrew!
Those cranks should work fine with the XCX, although a single ring crankset would likely fit a little bit better due to the granny ring tabs. The RaceFace cranks have a bit of chainline adjust-ability via 1mm crank spindle spacers...49-51mm CL.

Typically this is enough to get the XCX to center up with the chainring. If needed, a dremel can mill down the granny ring tabs for clearance, but usually the XCX doesn't need this.
