I have a Yeti 4x frame I never built up. Just found it in a box, had kind of forgotten about it.

I have access to a Fox 36 that'll go down do 120. I like these A LOT for my DJ bike at 100mm.

My question is this: will an extra 20mm of suspension really screw up how this bike should ride?

You have the frame, and you have the fork...yet you ask here instead of taking 10 minutes to slap them together and see for yourself?

The frame is build around a 130mm 32. The extra crown height is ~15mm, iirc. Hence, you need 100mm to be at the same place.

If you can only get it down to 120mm, look into the lowest stack lower cup that you can find. It helps.

Most is the objective word here. Weight? Yes. Height? Yes. Alcohol tolerance? Yes. Intelligence? Not so much. Being a man? Definitely not.

Moved a lot and have been in court a lot.

Not what your mother told me. By the way, Luke, I am your father.
