Astonhill races are starting to happen again!
The first race this year is going to be held on the legendary Blackrun once deemed the hardest track in the south of england. The tracks at the hill have had alot of work done to them in the last few months by the new comittee and maintenence crew so thanks guys. So all tracks espicially the black run have had a full revamp and are the best they have been in years.
BLACK RUN RACING IS BACK - UPDATE
What better a start to the year than some good ole fashioned Black Run downhill racing at Aston Hill. We now have more details, listed below and an entry form to download which contains further information.
Racing will be held on 15th March with each rider getting two timed runs.
Registration from 8.00am - 10.00am
Practice from 8.30am - 10.30am
Racing starts at 10.45am
Each rider will get two timed runs. Timing will be provided by our good friends at Mikrotime. Fastest time of two runs counts.
Pre entries are £22.00, on the day entries are £26.00.
There are a total of 9 categories which means youll see me coming in last in the Masters!!!
We cant tell you what the prizes are just yet but rest assured, theyll be worth racing for and equal to the glory of beating your mates down the hill.
It goes without saying that a no helmet, no racing rule applies - and they really should be done up!! Body armour advised. Best of luck to everyone who enters.
